Microsoft’s Cloud Operations and Innovation (CO+I) team builds and operates Microsoft datacenters, which in turn power Microsoft’s cloud business. The CO+I Engineering team (CO+IE) delivers services, applications, and automation supporting datacenter planning, construction, and operation. This role will focus on working with customers to understand their scenarios and data needs, working with engineering to building shared services solutions, reporting capability, data sharing experience and performing analysis to help uncover new insights across the end-to-end DC life cycle. Successful candidates will be comfortable working with data, operating at a fast pace, navigating ambiguity, and collaborating across teams and functional boundaries. Candidates should be curious and have a bias for action. This role requires a balance of business and technical acumen, with an ability to communicate with clarity to executives and stakeholders at all levels.
We are looking for a customer obsessed, data driven, technical program Manager with strong collaboration and communication skills, and execution ability, to drive Data related initiatives in the CO+IE space. As a TPM you will be responsible for driving product vision, strategy and execution of horizontal data and analytics initiatives and infuse AI/ML across products developed for our data center operators. You will collaborate with cross-functional team of world class software engineers, datacenter operators & SMEs, and partner with Engineering teams to define and deliver business improvements through transformative data analysis solutions.

Partner with engineering teams and other stakeholders to understand their requirements and business impact. Create detailed requirements for data onboarding and curation.
Drive prioritization across several scenarios and features and plan out delivery timelines that meet the business objectives
Analyze data, investigate any issues raised by the stakeholders and partner with engineering team to drive resolution and maintain the quality of the data service
Drive automation efforts and deliver shared services solutions to prevent problem recurrence, with the goal of automating response to all nonexceptional service conditions.
Drive User Acceptance Test (UAT) to ensure data quality and standards are met.
Has passion for emerging technologies and outstanding communication skills
Communicate and iterate on plans upwards and outwards to key partners and executives across the company
The ideal candidate will have strong prior experience in program management as well as a background or interest in engineering / data analysis. You will have the highest levels of leadership skills, an outstanding record of managing a broad set of stakeholders and complex cross-organizational dependencies, while continuously and relentlessly driving for results. You’ll have a deep understanding of what it takes to get work done, with and through others, in a highly matrixed environment at Microsoft. You will also need to be highly skilled in understanding how to get things done through influence and collaboration, while working with cross-functional and multi-country team members.
Master’s degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Operations Research, or another quantitative field
3+ years of experience in Program Management.
4+ years of experience working with data visualization and dashboard creation
Working knowledge and experience with data analysis.
Working knowledge and experience with Power BI, PowerApps, Power automate, Kusto, Azure Data Lake, Databricks, Synapse, or similar tools.
Good understanding of big data and scalable systems in a cloud environment
Experience with SQL and No-SQL
Data Analytics and Data Management skills preferred, with strong oral and written communication,organization,and interpersonal skills
Passionate about understanding customers and their behavior
Problem-solving ability, especially in gathering data to drive decision making under stringent timelines
Experience identifying and managing cross-functional interdependencies.
Ability to Balance tactical operational issue management with longer term planning.
Highly skilled at querying relational databases (SQL) and ability to pull data from various sources
Experience with relational database design and architecture
Strong communication skills. Must be able to explain technical concepts and implications clearly to a wide audience, including senior executives, and be able to translate business objectives into actionable analyses
Passion and the ability to achieve exceptional results, tackle ambiguity, and match a fast pace of delivery with minimal supervision. Ability to prioritize workloads effectively.
Ability to develop creative solutions to complex problems by applying knowledge and judgment to identify approach and methods
Proven track record delivering across organizational boundaries in a highly matrix model; and developing and sustaining strong partnerships within and outside the organization
