Consultant - Data and Analytics

About the Role: As a Consultant in our Management Consulting team, you will play a key role in providing strategic guidance and actionable insights to Upstream Oil and Gas clients. Your expertise and experience will be instrumental in helping our clients make informed decisions, improve their operations, and navigate the challenges of the industry. You will work on diverse and high-impact projects, collaborating closely with clients, team members, and industry experts.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Client Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business goals, and becoming a trusted advisor. Analysis and Assessment: Conduct in-depth analysis of industry trends, market dynamics, and client-specific challenges to provide valuable insights and recommendations. Operational Improvement: Identify digital opportunities for operational efficiency, cost reduction, and process optimization within the Upstream Oil and Gas sector. Data Analysis: Utilize data analytics and modeling to support decision-making and provide data-driven recommendations. Requirements Management: Experience in gathering, identifying, and documenting business requirement and creating functional specifications for new systems and processes. Project Management: Lead and coordinate consulting projects, ensuring deliverables are met on time and within budget. Client Deliverables: Prepare and present high-quality reports, presentations, and recommendations to clients, clearly articulating complex concepts.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Deeply understand and have applied a wide range of statistical methods, including more advanced statistical methodologies and models, e.g. causal inference from observational data Understand the end-to-end lifecycle of the data and the data systems deployed in your immediate team; can make simple changes to the data systems in your immediate scope; can write and maintain advanced data pipelines (if needed); define and implement data schemas Write and maintain moderately complex data pipelines; have advanced scripting skills in R or python; have expert SQL skills have deep understanding in at least one data domain area within your business entity and awareness of related domains provide leading insight of industry and technology trends and best practices; you advocate for data analytics best practices in your immediate area familiar with the data sources needed to carry out analysis in your team's scope; you can build simple data pipelines (if needed); you have advanced SQL skills; have a deep understanding of several commonly available Performance Analytics approaches and problem-solving tools and you can effectively trade-off those approaches and tools for the problem at hand. you exhibit strong judgement on the approximations you make for time sensitive analysis. Has a deep knowledge in at least one of the Oil and Gas process areas such as exploration, development, production, and facilities, midstream, downstream, and chemicals Has a solid experience, advanced skill in working knowledge of the Microsoft Suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint, Visio Has a bachelor's degree or a foreign equivalent from an accredited institution Has a Master of Business Administration degree Is willing to travel 4 days a week to multiple local, state and national client locations Candidates authorized to work for any employer in the United States without employer-based visa sponsorship are welcome to apply. Flexible, Negotiation, workstream mgmt., adaptive, assertive, strong work ethic, research, analysis, and so on Able to meaningfully contribute to firm initiatives such as knowledge-building, recruiting, developing offerings, thought leadership, business development, and so on Possesses exceptional written and verbal communication, facilitation, and presentation skills Big 4 or similar consulting experience Live in or be willing to relocate to within a 2-hour drive of an Infosys Consulting hub office

This job may entail an extensive amount of travel. The job also entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face.
