Our candidate is a Backend technical leader who has experience working in and operating large-scale solutions, plus familiarity with current technology trends and patterns. In addition to technical expertise, you must also be a skilled communicator and collaborator comfortable working across Engineering teams and multiple partner departments.

Intuit Mailchimp is a hybrid workplace, giving employees the opportunity to collaborate in person with team members in our office two to three days per week.

What you'll bring

• BS/MS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.

• 8+ years of experience in backend development for large business environments (Kotlin, Java, Go, PHP preferred).

• 5+ years of experience designing complex systems, management products, or business applications.

• Prior experience in a cloud computing environment like AWS/GCP is highly preferred.

• Strong OOD and SOA principles, with ability to implement them in a preferred language.

• Practical experience developing applications using microservices, container technologies, and container management systems (e.g., Kubernetes, Mesos).

• Strong experience with database design (SQL, NoSQL) and analytics.

• Adherence to internal coding standards, development processes, and design best practices.

• Commitment to quality via thorough testing and leveraging peer reviews.

• Ability to scope, estimate, and prioritize work effectively.

• Passionate about building great web applications and continuously learning new ways to deliver excellent software products.

How you will lead

• Drive significant technology initiatives end-to-end and across multiple layers of architecture.

• Design and implement durable software solutions that solve critical customer problems and are scalable, secure, and maintainable, while interacting with numerous other services.

• Provide recommendations and best practices for application development and developer tools.

• Stay updated on industry best practices, share insights, and apply cutting-edge technologies.

• Innovate to fuel the growth of Intuit, generating creative ideas for emerging business needs.

• Set technical direction for and own the design and implementation of the overall system architecture and infrastructure.

• Develop new features, enhance existing ones, and resolve defects.

• Empower team members—including developers, technical support, and QA—through technical mentoring, documentation contributions, and automating manual tasks.

• Define and adhere to internal coding standards, development processes, and design best practices.

• Ensure quality through thorough testing and peer reviews for your work and the work of cross-functional teams.

• Scope, estimate, and prioritize work effectively
