Within CO+I, the Data Center Availability Improvement Team is responsible for ensuring the uptime, reliability and availability of Microsoft’s cloud business data centers. Microsoft has a portfolio of data centers globally and the Availability Improvement Team is looking to fill the vital role of Program Manager.

Responsibilities
Work with internal Microsoft teams to collect and compile Availability metrics and scorecards for all datacenter sites and regions
Train and coach teams on objective KPIs and drive projects working with Operations site and Regional leadership to establish Availability Improvement initiatives
Lead process improvement initiatives with partner teams
Develop business cases for CapEx funding requests for Availability Improvement projects and drive execution of those projects
Track projects and establish dashboards to provide status of Availability Improvement projects
Identify trends, cause of defects based on data analysis, make recommendations for cause investigations
Drive global standardization and consistency of processes, procedures and reports with Operations teams
Work with Operations EEs / MEs, Critical Environment Program Managers to establish visual standards, process improvement and error proofing systems to drive efficiency with the business
Lead Kaizen activities with cross functional teams and provide closure of key tasks and deliverables with metrics
Identify and monitor the need for use of new tools to improve the quality of data and analytics
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
6+ years technical experience in Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering OR Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial or related field AND 3+ years technical experience in Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial OR Master's Degree in Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or related field AND 2+ years technical experience in Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial or related field
3+ years of experience in datacenter or mission critical environment
3+ years of experience in data visualization tools and techniques
Preferred Qualifications:
Must have strong lean background with hands-on expertise in continuous improvement
Must have good understanding of datacenter and topologies or equivalent Mission Critical facility background
Must have strong analytical skills – must be able to extract and summarize large, complex data from multiple databases and systems
Must be a team player with ability to influence cross functional team and leadership team in driving process improvement and efficiencies
Must be able to work with people at all levels of management
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong understanding of data analysis tools and techniques such as PowerBI, Kusto Queries, SQL
Good organizational skills
Must demonstrate strong attention to detail
Familiarity with ISO standards and procedures
Familiarity with mission critical equipment used in datacenters
Familiarity with continuous improvement tools such as FMEA, Material and Information Flows, SIPOC, process workflows, A3s, Value Stream Mapping, etc
