Microsoft Corporation Sr. Finance Manager FP&A, MCAPS in Atlanta, Georgia

This position is at the heart of the team and is expected to lead the central rhythm of finance processes including closing, reporting, planning cycle, SLT reviews and other requests from our SLT. It will report to the SMC Finance Director and work closely with the Time Zone Controllers team, Scale Sales Engines and SMB Finance team.It will provide support and partner with LT of SMC & Digital Sales. This is a unique and rare finance opportunity to join a team building a double-digit growth business, gain broad visibility to the operational and business aspects of Microsoft’s strategic shift to develop a robust and scalable sales organization.

Responsibilities

  • Rhythm of Business (ROB): Provide in-depth analysis of in-quarter results for Corporate and collaborate with SMB controller & TZ Controller to prepare leadership communication. Support quarterly VSU by providing insights and data models to the SMC & Digital Sales LT through collaboration with regional controllers. Provide consolidated Area business insights.

  • Revenue Planning: Orchestrate SMC & Digital Sales Revenue Planning process to ensure a smooth integration with MCAPS Core Planning Team, SMC & Digital Sales Business, and Field Finance in revenue planning.

  • Corporate Business Partner Support: Support SMC & Digital Sales Corporate Strategy & Programs across all Solution Areas, SMC Support Sales, and Solution Assessment Program.

  • Financial Analytics and Insights: Analyze results to understand performance against plan/forecast. Monitor trends and key drivers and proactively recommend a course of action if risk is present.

  • SMC Analytical Framework Support: Partner with the SMC Analytical team to continue to move forward our Business Insight Framework

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science, or related field AND 4+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience

  • OR Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science, or related field AND 2+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience

  • OR equivalent experience.
