Intuit Senior Software Engineer in Atlanta, Georgia

Overview

Come join the Intuit’s Platform Security engineering team as a Senior Software Engineer. The Security team defines, builds, and drives adoption for security best practices across the Intuit organization. The team builds and operates the engineering platform and infrastructure which runs all of Intuit’s products including TurboTax, QuickBooks, Credit Karma and MailChimp. We work to integrate security into the entire software development lifecycle, from product design all the way through deployment and operation, for all Intuit developers.

What you'll bring

  • BS/MS in Computer Science or Information Security; equivalent experience will be considered

  • 5+ years of experience developing and operating complex distributed software systems in an enterprise environment

  • Solid full-stack design and coding skills (e.g., Java, Python, Node.js, REST, etc), including some front-end knowledge (e.g., REACT, Javascript, CSS, etc)

  • Experience working in a DevOps environment delivering an end-to-end, highly-scalable and available service

  • Some familiarity with MongoDB or similar technology

  • Experience with SCRUM, Agile and iterative approaches is a plus

  • Team player possessing strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills

  • Strong mentoring skills. Able to influence and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical people

  • Experience driving for results across cross-functional teams while maintaining effective working relationships

  • Python

  • Some modern DB tech: MongoDB, GraphDB, etc.

How you will lead

  • Design, build, and operate Intuit’s development security platform including data collection, manipulation, storage and presentation. This includes working with technologies like Python, and AWS (Lambda, CloudFormations and more).

  • We also use database technologies like MongoDB, and GraphDB (Neo4j) so familiarity with those technologies is a plus.

  • Partner with Intuit Product Development teams and the central Intuit Information Security team to ensure that Intuit security policies and standards are implemented as required across all Intuit products and services

  • Drive critical Intuit security initiatives for the Intuit Platform Security organization

  • Help steward the roadmap and strategy for the Platform Security, maintaining a strong customer focus, and driving new features that deliver compelling value and delight

  • Champion the importance of cybersecurity and fraud prevention at all times, especially as integrated into the full software development lifecycle, and instill a security mindset across all product development teams

  • Provide/inspire innovations that help Intuit maintain our position as an industry leader in cybersecurity and fraud prevention

  • Ensure that security defects, issues, and incidents assigned to the team are remediated as quickly as possible and within SLA
