How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)

  • Thisposition plans and develops security measures to safeguard information againstaccidental or unauthorized modification, destruction, or disclosure. Works withmanagement and other personnel to identify best practices as a senior SMEcovering the security aspects of AWS Cloud services with a focus on APIAuthentication and Authorization services in AWS. This position leads lessexperienced technical staff on the technical aspects of App and InformationSecurity architecture, development, and operations.

  • Designand develop cloud-native applications, features, and enhancements with anemphasis on clean, highly efficient, supportable, and well documented code forthe full technological stack.

  • Produceenterprise-level designs for API authorization and authentication in AWS.Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and operations teams to providearchitectural and technical guidance. Application developer experience ishighly desirable

  • Leadsteady state and continuous improvement efforts for Authorization services forglobally diverse solutions. Including enhancements to a custom-built AP|Authorizer utility.

  • Coordinatebetween infrastructure, application, and threat monitoring teams to ensure thetimely and successful delivery of our solutions.

  • Createand maintain system documentation for authorization and authenticationtechnologies, including installation, configuration, and appropriatetroubleshooting steps.

  • Developed,documented, and enforced the standards, security procedures, and controls foraccess to ensure integrity of API related systems.

  • Supportintegration, authentication and authorization projects.

  • Own and lead solutionimplementations, upgrades, enhancements, and conversions.

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

  • Minimumof 7 years work experience in IT with at least 4 years of software anddevelopment hands-on experience working with DevSecOps technologies andbuild-to-manage environments as a developer.

  • Understandingand experience of webservices and APIs, and microservices architecture anddeployment

  • AWS/CloudExperience. Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Chef, Puppet, Ansibleetc.), CI/CD tools (Tekton, AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins etc.), Cloud DevelopmentKits, the Serverless Application Model and Cloud Formation Templates.

  • Priorexperience in application development using Java, TypeScript and Python

  • Experiencedin the setup and handling of RedHat OpenShift infrastructure on AWS to supporthigh traffic volume

  • Hasa good understanding of failover and disaster recovery implementation patterns

  • Hasstrong AWS experience, specifically around building high resiliency andscalable cross region applications.

  • Knowledgeof automated test frameworks

  • Knowledgeof secure coding standards.

  • Experiencewith build-to-manage and DevOps models

  • Experiencewith source control, build tools and GIT (GitHub, Bitbucket or other)

  • Experiencewith Agile methodologies

  • Experiencein working with 12-factor methodology and understanding its benefits, and ableto demonstrate appropriate patterns to other team members

  • Experiencedwith Cloud Native architectures

  • Demonstratedunderstanding in formulating strategies, alternatives, and recommendations ininformation security

  • Abilityto clearly communicate with peers, business analysts, and subject matterexperts

  • Abilityto lead and mentor junior team members and colleagues, and support leadershipdirectives

  • Familiaritywith core Identity and Access Management concepts for authentication andauthorization.

  • Consistentlyprioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.

  • Embracesdiverse people, thinking, and styles.

  • Possessesa high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.

  • Is at least 18 years of ageand has authorization to work in the United States.

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)

  • Familiaritywith Identity Federation protocols such as OAuth2 and OpenID Connect (OIDC)

  • Experiencewith authorization technologies and concepts (Policy Decision Point, XACML.Open Policy Agent, etc.)

  • Experienceacross IT domains such as application development, infrastructure, technicalsupport and operations, or continuity of business Experience with Monitoringtools (Prometheus, CloudWatch, SumoLogic, Splunk, New Relic, Dynatrace etc.)

  • Ahistory of driving transformational change

  • Bachelor'sDegree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related technical field.
