White Cap Senior Manager, Software Engineering in Atlanta, Georgia

Responsible for the establishment of White Cap’s enterprise middleware and Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS) platform; responsible for driving the implementation of a standardized middleware platform including monitoring, alerting, observability, high-availability, and disaster recovery (DR).
Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
• Establish and lead the team responsible for seamlessly connecting and integrating White Cap’s enterprise applications, data, and processes.
• Lead the development and support of White Cap’s enterprise middleware components and APIs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a modern, secure, performant, reliable and cost-effective middleware environment.
• Accelerate integration of third-party software solutions, including Oracle EBS and Salesforce.com.
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines, ensuring the on-time delivery of high-quality solutions.
• Leverage Agile delivery practices to design, deliver and support enterprise software components.
• Establish, measure, and report relevant Service Level Objectives (SLO) and KPIs for White Cap’s software services.
• Ensure code quality, security, and performance through code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement.
• Partner with Enterprise Architecture to develop and enforce best practices for software development including coding standards, testing practices, and deployment processes.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to keep our solutions at the forefront of innovation.

Solutions require analysis and investigation.
Achieves planned results by decisions and actions based on professional methods, business principles, and practical experience. May recommend/make decisions regarding new programs/initiatives that have significant impact to the business and carry consequences in unsuccessful endeavors.
Manages a larger team or multiple small teams through direction of subordinate management and/or supervisory staff.
Work Environment
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Typically requires overnight travel less than 5% of the time.
Education and Experience
- Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally, 7+ years of experience in a related field. May require certification. Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical discipline
8+ years of professional software engineering experience with a focus on middleware and API development
5+ years of people management experience
3+ years of experience delivering applications hosted in a public cloud
Experience with iPaaS technologies such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Logic Apps, API Management or Oracle Integration Cloud
Experience with code quality and security vulnerability tools
Experience with observability, monitoring, and alerting platforms
Experience with DevOps best practices including CI/CD pipelines
Experience delivering solutions utilizing microservices architecture
Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience with Microsoft Azure middleware components including Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure Service Bus, Azure Log Analytics, and Application Insights
Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is a plus
