HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT:
The Senior Manager Global Distribution Systems is responsible for developing innovative solutions for our warehouse management systems and warehouse control systems across our network of distribution centers. You will partner with business, operations, and other technical teams to innovate, support and build out our rollout of Manhattan Active (MAWM). This position focuses on project-based work in our North American distribution centers.
This role reports into Sr Director Supply Chain Systems and can have up to 5 direct report and is a hybrid role, based in Atlanta office. Travel to distribution centers required as projects dictate.
Project Delivery (70%)
Function as MAWM (Manhattan Active WM) functional SME to include design sessions, testing, leading testing teams, integration design, UAT planning and support and implementation across entire distribution network. This resource leads and supports the rollout of MAWM to all distribution centers in our network, manages resources, timelines, budgets, communication, go live support, etc. Strong background in Manhattan Associates MAWM is essential, WMOS knowledge is a plus but not required.
Background in Warehouse Control Systems (WCS) and Materials Handling Equipment (MHE) and the integration of these into MAWM.
Successfully deliver tier 1, 2, and 3 IT projects and initiatives on time and within the specified budget; function as IT project lead for projects within scope to include all IT PMO activities and SOX compliance.
Design and implement joint application solutions that contribute strategic business goals while aligning with the overall IT architecture.
Develop and manage project plans and coordinate resources across both IT and business partners to accomplish project goals. Develop and coordinate project funding.
Lead business partners through design session, converting operational needs into technical specifications and lead team to implement.
Develop junior team members for effective production support and production support improvements.
Prioritize all workstreams to fit into overall distribution systems schedule based on peak seasons and resource availability.
Liaison with supply chain group and ecommerce to convert initiatives into distribution systems solutions for cost savings and a better customer experience.
Ability to multi-task projects from all distribution centers located domestically and internationally, including sites that are company run as well as 3PL facilities that are on various versions of WMS.
Production Support (15%)
Support Distribution on multiple WMS through leveraged and innovative use of the WM system and other IT applications.
Help to troubleshoot issues and act as point of escalation and communication.
Strategic direction setting, communication, people management (15%)
Recruit and grow talent internally and externally to support global distribution systems. This includes creating job descriptions, potentially interviewing candidates, training new resources, etc.
Facilitate annual and mid-year review processes with all direct reports to include coaching, performance improvement programs, and mentoring to get junior team members to the next level.
Liaise with business resources in all channels to understand the business strategy, and to define IT strategic & tactical initiatives supporting the business initiatives.
Work with the rest of the IT organization to define and accomplish strategic and tactical initiatives
WE’D LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF:
Required skills:
5-8 years’ experience as an IT professional supporting supply chain applications and managing projects and project teams. Minimum 2-3 years’ proven expertise in MAWM (Manhattan Active) implementations; knowledge of Order Management Systems and integration layers.
Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience - preferred IT, Supply Chain, or Industrial Engineering degree.
SCI report writing and strong SQL/Json skills.
MAWM configuration, testing, and troubleshooting.
Experience with Materials Handling equipment, WCS (warehouse control system) and/or WES (warehouse execution system)
Ability to be on-site to support on-going operations and production support as required.
Ability to work with a wide variety of groups from IT to operations to upper management.
Deadline-oriented with strong time management skills in order to deliver requests and projects according to the timeline.
Strong, proactive, customer service mindset.
Ability to provide innovative solutions to drive business results.
Strong leader and coach of people.
Preferred skills:
Experience with Manhattan WMOS.
Experience with team management and succession planning.
OKR goal setting at a team and overall department level.
Proven experience and skills in IT Project Management.
