Georgia-Pacific LLC Senior IT Manager in Atlanta, Georgia
Own the development and deployment for Advanced analytics applications focusing on Data Engineering, Analytics, AI, and Computer vision. Collaborate with data scientists, other engineers, and product managers to launch new GP AI products, iterate on existing features, and build a world-class user experience. Work with business stakeholders and sponsors to identify and prioritize high value opportunities and be the thought leader in proposing solutions to achieve the value working to ensure continuous cycles of mutual benefit between IT and Manufacturing operations. Lead and manage a team of full stack software engineers, architects, data engineers, devops engineers, and business analysts to support CSC and Operations staff at GPs mills. Lead the product team in Systems Analysis, Design, Testing, and Implementation of Computer Vision, Advanced Analytics, and Data solutions. Foster growth and a collaborative mindset for all members of the computer vision team and across the wider EDA team. Proactively identify technical debt and implement solutions to improve product iteration speed.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, MIS, or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience with data analytics.
Of the required experience, must have 5 years of experience in all the following:
- Databases, data warehousing, data engineering, data modelling, ETL and in building/running enterprise scale Data and Analytics projects.
- Python, SQL, or similar. Of the required experience, must have 2 years of experience in all the following:
- Supervising or managing technical manufacturing operations teams with 5 or more members.
- Designing, implementing, managing large-scale data and ETL solutions in the cloud using relevant technologies and languages such as Glue, PySpark, Redshift, RDS, EMR, S3, Athena, or Lambda.
- Front and back-end architecture, including performance, accessibility, security, and usability. Of the required experience, must have 1 year of experience with the following:
- DevOps, version control, and SCM
Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days a week.
