Google Security Solutions Engineer, Google Cloud in Atlanta, Georgia

Minimum qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience in cloud computing (security, networking, infrastructure, and data).

  • 5 years of experience as a security sales engineer in a cloud computing environment or equivalent experience in a customer-facing role.

  • 3 years of experience with Terraform and other infrastructure as code tools.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with Kubernetes, cloud native technologies, and infrastructure as code.

  • Industry experience with cyber security threats including ransomware, phishing, and DDOS attacks.

  • Knowledge of ISO 27001, ISO 27017, SOC 2, NIST 800-53, HIPAA, and PCI DSS.

  • Familiarity with industry leading companies and partners across the field of security.

  • Ability to quickly learn, understand, and work with new emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions cloud security.

As a Security Solutions Engineer, you will drive strategy, design, and technical asset creation for Security Solutions that accelerate customer adoption.You will bring a product engineering mindset to solutions, ensuring that the results are highly scalable, robust, extensible, and repeatable.

You will meet with customers to understand their business, technical, regulatory, and legal requirements. You'll develop materials and engineer security blueprints to support new solutions initiatives with a broad cross-functional group of stakeholders, including Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Sales teams, to help define use cases, blueprints, and their growth strategy at Google Cloud.

You'll identify and parse industry trends in security to recommend, plan for, and address core market opportunities with new solutions and use cases.

Additional Information

(Colorado only*) Minimum salary of $118,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.

  • Lead and contribute directly to the effort of creating security blueprints and cross-functional areas that encapsulate cloud security best practices and showcase the value of blueprints.

  • Identify and qualify business opportunities, identify key customer technical objections, and develop the strategy to resolve technical blockers.

  • Recommend, demonstrate, and prototype product integrations in customer/partner environments, including enterprise architectures and application infrastructure, using best practices on Google Cloud.

  • Oversee delivery of published materials across the complete portfolio of Google Cloud solutions and use cases.

  • Partner closely with Engineering directors, Product leaders, Sales strategy, and executive leadership to ensure solutions alignment with engineering, product priorities, and Go-to-Market priorities.
