Jacobs Resource Coordinator in Atlanta, Georgia

The Jacobs-led team will serve as MARTA's CPMO Supplemental Services Consultant and manage the construction aspects. A joint venture between Jacobs and H. J. Russell & Company - was selected to support the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) as they embark on their expansion program. This position will be hired through the joint venture program, JRMT (Jacobs Russell MARTA Team), and it's subconsultants.

Summary of position: The Resource Coordinator ensures efficient office and Human Resources administration while supporting Management and Staff. The selected individual will drive HR objectives for recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and administration and ensure day-to-day office operations. Additional duties may include supporting accounting and administrative functions.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinating Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and organize meetings for management and other key staff members.

  • Coordinate agendas for all organizational meetings and functions.

  • Facilitate new employee onboarding and orientation process.

  • Organize meetings and ensure setup meets the presenter's needs, including sanctioned events.

  • Compile and manage sensitive and non-sensitive personnel data, such as emergency contact information, attendance records, resumes, and other documentation.

  • Assist in maintaining the office personnel organization chart, ensuring accurate reporting structures.

  • Oversee office and personnel support requirements, equipment and office supplies, asset tracking, and compliance with safety and company policies.

  • Schedule and manage day-to-day Jacobs | Russell MARTA Team (JRMT) operations.

  • When directed, facilitate the annual performance evaluation feedback process under the guidance of the Management Team.

  • Respond to employee inquiries and provide timely assistance and follow-up.

  • Assist with Client-directed tasks specific to personnel (e.g., access badges, parking swipe cards, transit cards, accountability, timesheets, etc.).

Human Resource Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate new employee onboarding and orientation process.

  • Ensure job descriptions are current and compliant with the client's requirements.

  • Enforce HR procedures and assist employees in navigating company policies.

  • Assist with the Timekeeping process for employees.

  • Assist the Talent Acquisition team/Recruiter with recruitment efforts.

  • Support the implementation and communication of HR policies and procedures to ensure organizational compliance and consistency.

  • Assist in developing and implementing employee engagement initiatives, such as employee surveys, recognition programs, or wellness activities.

  • Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments.

  • Collaborate with HR functional groups to promote a positive employee experience, ensuring seamless onboarding and fostering a supportive work environment for new and existing employees.

  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs, including but not limited to leave requests, disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations, productivity, training and development, recognition, and morale.

  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new information related to human resources and employment law.

This position requires five years of office management experience, with three years in HR-related functions such as recruitment, onboarding, or employee relations. A Human Resources certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP) is strongly preferred, or equivalent experience is required.
