PruittHealth Rehab Office Coordinator- Brookhaven/ALF in Atlanta, Georgia

POSITION SUMMARY:

Coordination of day-to-day operations of the rehab department including patient and therapist scheduling, tracking and reporting therapy utilization, monitoring billing and payroll submission, and assisting the Therapy Outcomes Coordinator in other operational and clerical duties.

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS: DIRECT REPORT TO: Therapy Outcomes Coordinator

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Attends center specific meetings as assigned by the Therapy Outcomes Coordinator.

  2. Maintains schedule system for patients and therapist.

  3. Processes payroll, HR information, and other patient related reporting as assigned by the Therapy Outcomes Coordinator.

  4. Keeps rehab department clean and clutter free; following all infection control policies and procedures for equipment and department cleaning and sanitizing.

  5. Keeps rehab department stocked with required supplies at all times. Keeps inventory up to date.

  6. Reports issues related to equipment to Therapy Outcomes Coordinator and designated contact immediately.

  7. Reports all issues related to patients, partners or customers immediately to the Therapy Outcomes Coordinator; demonstrating a proactive attitude and solutions whenever possible.

  8. Observes uniform code or dress guidelines and wears ID badge at all times.

  9. Adheres to Great Customer Service principles of the organization.

  10. Reports to work on time as scheduled; providing proper notification per policy of tardiness, planned or unplanned PTO.

  11. Follows all Tenets of the Organization demonstrating the Committed to Caring Philosophy throughout each workday.

  12. Fosters a culture of compliance by following the Code of Conduct and other applicable policies and regulatory requirements at all times.

  13. Completes all required orientation, in services and trainings timely and successfully.

  14. Perform other related duties as necessary and as directed by supervisor.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  1. Assistance in obtaining and maintaining insurance authorizations, required forms for outpatient charting, and billing as indicated.

  2. Demonstrate a strong sense of quality, work ethic and flexibility. Always representing the organization is a positive and professional manner.

  3. Demonstrates the ability to take initiative and use sound judgment in routine and emergency situations.

  4. Expresses thoughts clearly and concisely in oral and written form.

  5. Develops good rapport easily with patients, families, partners and customers; exhibiting a helpful and courteous attitude at all times.

  6. General proficiency in computer usage, especially Microsoft Office and electronic medical record reporting following HIPAA regulations.

  7. Demonstrates ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time efficiently to complete required daily task

  8. Billing experience preferred.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Prior long term care experience preferable

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma or GED

Freedom from illegal drug use. Freedom from use and effects of drugs and alcohol in the workplace. Persons who have been found guilty by a court of law of abusing, neglecting or mistreating individual in a health care setting are ineligible for employment in this position.

TRAINING SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Must speak, read and write the English language fluently.

EQUIPMENT USED:

Varied therapy and office equipment and other direct care medical equipment.

SUMMARY OF OCCUPATIONAL EXPOSURES:

Tasks assigned to this position may involve potential and/or direct exposure to blood, body fluids, infectious disease, air contaminants and hazardous chemicals. May be subject to hostile and emotionally upset patients/residents/clients, family members, associates and visitors.

Less than 80%
