How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)

The Program Leader - Ergonomics will develop and implement strategies and programs that drive ergonomics best practices to address root causes issues. This role will partner with stakeholders in TechOps, HealthCentral, and other relevant operation leaders to proactively improve the comfort, health, and safety of TechOps employees. The Program Leader will serve as the point of contact for employees throughout TechOps for the ergonomics program. This position will report directly to the Lead Program Manager – Occupational Health.

  • Provide subject matter expertise in ergonomics to analyze and control risks to health and safety due to ergonomic hazards.

  • Analyze data and information to recommend ergonomic policies to prevent cumulative trauma and musculoskeletal disorders.

  • Conduct ergonomic assessments to recommend workplace changes, provide technical support, and implement solutions to reduce on the job injuries and improve comfort.

  • Synthesize data from multiple sources to communicate program updates for monthly performance reviews to senior leaders and other stakeholders.

  • Lead regularly scheduled meetings with operational ergonomics support personnel.

  • Develops and participates in ergonomics presentations, briefings, and other information.

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

  • B.S. or higher in human factors, ergonomics, biomechanics, kinesiology, or other related field and 3 years of experience providing ergonomic assessments or working in a human-factors role preferably within aviation, industrial, or related field

  • In lieu of B.S. or higher, 4-6 years of related experience

  • Experience in developing and conducting ergonomic assessments, usability testing, and task flow analyses

  • Demonstrated ability to produce results independently and collaboratively

  • Outstanding communication, organization, time management, and interpersonal skills

  • Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.

  • Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.

  • Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.

  • Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.

  • (If transferring internally) Must be performing satisfactorily in current position.

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)

  • CPE or the ability to complete the certification within one year

  • Experience leading ergonomics program

  • Experience performing virtual ergonomics evaluations

  • Experience with ergonomics tools
