Position Summary

Individual will report to the Project Director. Provides administrative assistance to the team to support the accomplishment of program objectives; develops, coordinates, and advises staff regarding program policy. Funded by the NHLBI , the Morehouse School of Medicine Community-engaged Primary Care Research Network ( MSM CPCRN ) overarching goal will be to narrow the health inequities among disproportionately impacted populations served by the primary care safety net across the southeastern United States (US) and nationally.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree – Degree must be from a regionally accredited college or university

  • Minimum of 2 years related experience

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products preferred

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task

    Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in public health, communications, or other area as appropriate preferred – Degree must be from a regionally accredited college or university

  • Min. 3 years of office administrative experience

  • Min. 2 years of budget management experience

Job Duties

Description of Job Duty

  • Develops, plans, coordinates and implements activities including, but not limited to, advisory board meetings or events, funder related events, coordination and organization of the team.

  • Plans and administers activities and strategies of the NCPCR project

  • Communicate with project teams to coordinate activities of the advisory board, methodology and administrative cores

  • Actively participate and contribute in NCPCR project meetings and workgroups and create coordinating deliverables

  • Maintains liaison with other programs, offices and departments at MSM to coordinate program business and to accomplish program objectives; interfaces with external organizations as appropriate to ensure cooperative efforts are enhanced and available resources are utilized.

  • Some local travel may be required

  • Assists in the preparation of budgets and grants; verifies expenditure of budgeted funds as appropriate.

Immunization Requirements

It is MSM’s Immunization policy that all Prospective Employees are required to provide proof that they are vaccinated against COVID -19 prior to commencement of employment. If employment will commence during Flu Season, MSM requires all individuals to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless granted an exemption. Failure to provide proof of vaccination for any required vaccines or obtain an exemption from MSM will result in rescission of a candidate’s offer of employment or disciplinary action up to and including termination.
