Title: Product Manager
Location: Atlanta, GA / Dallas, TX / Illinois (Virtual)
As a Product Manager within the Hospitality SMB business, you will be responsible for:
Overseeing the development of payments solutions that are used daily by restaurants to run their operations
Conducts market, customer and competitive analysis in order to understand customer needs for his/her/their product line, and building consumer experiences to drive incremental value for both restaurants and NCR
Converts analysis into coherent market requirements that define product form, fit and function including functionality and feature prioritization, cost, sales volume and profitability expectations and expected competitive response
Working cross-functionally and managing conflicting priorities
Prioritize product features based on Solution Management inputs on market and customer needs, and ensure releases focus on those features/stories with maximum value and alignment to product strategy
Analyzes and interprets go-to-market requirements, including restaurant & small business segments and channel partner needs
Oversees the product launch plans to assure that his/her/their product is presented to the market as intended by the strategy
Manages the product through the software/hardware product lifecycle
Determines timing and need for mid-life kickers as competitive or customer needs change or technology advances warrant a change
Manages the end-of-life process to gracefully transition customers to next generation products and prevent revenue gaps or excessive obsolescence charges
Works collaboratively with other functional leaders to develop and align on objectives.
Owns development presentation of business case by completing supportive research, authoring slides, and delivering presentations to internal and external audiences, routinely including senior management.
Demonstrates full knowledge of development process
Be accountable for an Agile program team and associated Sprint team delivery
Partner with Product Owners and engineering teams to and ensure the optimization of your roadmap and the solution
Preferred qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Hospitality Management, Restaurant Management or related field
9+ years of professional experience in either Software Product Management, Agile Product Ownership or Business Analysis
Experience and deep subject matter expertise managing payment gateway and/or processor workflows, pay in & pay out, payment methods, front end payment API’s and data API’s
Experience evaluating payment devices for form, fit, usability, environment readiness, certifications, etc.
Experience with B2B software or hardware products and a clear understanding of how to design the product for easy adoption by end users
Strong execution skills with the ability to prioritize and deliver needs on time to the Executive Director of Product Management
Scrum certification (CSPO or PSPO) preferred, but not required
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
Data driven decision making
Comfortable working with clients and partners
Happy in an agile, fast-paced environment that is sometimes ambiguous
Team player and strong collaboration skills
Strong sense of ownership and drive to improve; take charge attitude
Able to communicate complex concepts in a concise and understandable way
