  • Architect, design, and develop large scale distributed software services and solutions in collaboration with teammates.

  • Participate in the definition of key scenarios, use cases, and end-user experiences

  • Design services with a strong focus on high availability and scalability, robustness, and observability.

  • Design, implement and refine chosen solutions in close partnership with Product Management and partner teams.

  • Identify hard problems, evaluate the pros/cons of practical solutions, and drive decision making.

  • Drive long-term design thinking for systems and engineering processes with simplicity and maintainability as core tenets

  • Lead technical projects and model the culture of the team

  • Diagnose and correct service and application issues

  • Build software prototypes and conduct experiments to evaluate alternative architectures.

  • Take end-to-end responsibility for the development, observability, quality, testing, and production readiness of the services you build.

  • Adhere to and drive modern software engineering practices through code and design reviews, and by using data/telemetry to make decisions

  • Develop “best-in-class” engineering for our services by ensuring that the services and the components are: well-defined and modularized, secure, reliable, reusable, diagnosable, and actively monitored

  • Become part of a talented team that values diverse ideas, perspectives, and backgrounds and be a role model for an open, honest, and inclusive approach to solving problems

  • Mentor and develop engineers across all levels through sharing and learning


  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science or related engineering field

  • 10+ years of industry experience in full-stack, front-end, or back-end software development using Java, C++, JavaScript, or other high-level programming languages

  • Ability to design, architect, and drive the development of large features or functionality

  • 5+ years of experience building large enterprise-scale complex distributed micro-service systems

  • Demonstrated technical leadership experience

  • Proven track record of customer-focused innovation

  • Excellent technical, cross-group collaboration and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5 or more years of experience designing, developing, and shipping large-scale services with enterprise scale with demanding SLAs.

  • Strong coding and development skills with experience in at least one of the following languages: Java

  • Knowledge of large-scale distributed systems and client-server architectures.

  • Knowledge and experience with messaging, eventing technologies, pub/sub services, streaming and batch systems.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and passion to solve hard problems as part of a team

  • Strong customer focus with ability to work effectively across multiple business and technical teams to ensure continued customer happiness

  • AI / Machine Learning, Data Analysis is a plus

  • Experience working in a mature DevOps, SRE, or Modern Engineering organization supporting internet/hyperscale services

  • Previous experience working with a global team

  • Previous experience design and using Data Pipelines
