Ford Motor Company Material Control Lead Supervisor in Atlanta, Georgia

What you'll do...

Lead Supervisor is expected to direct supervise 20-40+ employees and work closely with the management and UAW team to ensure the following:

  • Functions performed include, but are not limited to: Receiving, stockkeeping, replenishment, picking, inventory, claims and shipping.

  • Attend, facilitate, and submit proper documentation for crew meetings.

  • Prepare/maintain work related records as needed.

  • Schedule manpower (including overtime and vacation).

  • Champion and lead continuous improvement initiatives toward best-in-class performance.

  • Responsible for enforcing safety rules/policies and work rules within the facility

  • Expected to work within the National and Local UAW-Ford Contract(s)

  • Accountable to delivering performance metrics, including but not limited to: Safety, error rate, denial rate, inventory accuracy, IB processing, GRID time, on time delivery, LPMH/efficiency, overtime, budget performance, absenteeism

  • Accountable to addressing behavioral and performance concerns and issues among UAW direct reports

  • Build strong, positive relationships with all salary staff, UAW direct reports, and UAW representation

  • Accurate and timely in paying UAW direct reports, scheduling vacations, reporting work hours into TWOS system

  • This position involves managing safety, quality, productivity, hourly expectations/goals, and scheduled grid times.

  • Responsible for enforcing safety rules/policies and work rules within the facility

  • Expected to work within the National and Local UAW-Ford Contract(s)

You'll have...

  • Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and experience

  • 3+ years operational experience within a High Velocity Center

  • Rotating work hours when required. Current schedule is 1:00 pm- 10:00 pm

  • Willing to work overtime (some weekends)

  • Must be able to work outside of traditional work hours.

  • Knowledge or ability to learn current systems (SAP/EWM)

  • Ability to interpret data, evaluate actions, and reach logical conclusions independently.

  • Must have ability and experience to work in a fast-paced environment and work under pressure to meet and/or exceed dealer shipping deadlines.

  • Warehouse system experience

  • Previous UAW/HVC supervisory experience

  • Proven dependability record and successful team-oriented experience.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to motivate workforce and hit daily targets

This position is a salary grade 7.
