We are looking for an experienced Strategy/Ops Manager with a track record of supporting complex marketing organizations. Reporting to the Director Functional Strategy & Planning Field Marketing, you will help shape the future direction of the AMER Operating Unit (OU) and pan-global marketing programs by driving the annual planning cycle, budget, headcount, and program planning, using data-driven decision-making, and you will work within a collaborative, cross-functional team to deliver insights on marketing performance and recommend improvements.

For now, this role will be based remotely within the Global Marketing Functional Strategy & Planning team and will primarily be responsible for the marketing strategy and planning function for the AMER OU, plus providing US timezone support for the Global Field Marketing Leader and the US-based Global Shared Services functions - Strategic Initiatives and Exec Programs/SIC.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ownership of key strategic frameworks for Global Field Marketing, including the following:

  • Marketing Assessment Matrix (MAM), a data-driven scorecard for strategic prioritization & insights used for Fiscal Year planning

  • ROI Reporting by tactic, providing a historical view of marketing-generated pipegen by dollar spent; used also as an indication for future performance

  • APM Cube, a framework that shows marketing spend by 3 dimensions - OU, Cloud, and Industry - across different CMO functions

  • Support the Top Down annual Planning Process for Global Field Marketing

  • Drive all Planning, Budget, Headcount for AMER OU and pan-global functions

  • Own the AMER OU and Global Books of Business (key business & marketing performance reports, within the context of the marketing team budget and headcount), to drive conversations/decision making. Participate in the AMER “Know your Numbers” data deep-dive sessions and similar discussions

  • Collaborate closely with our world-class Marketing Data Science and Analytics team to track full-funnel marketing attribution and performance across all tactics (digital, virtual events, campaigns) and ROI

  • Deliver strategic insights to allow the team to optimize current marketing programs

  • Support the preparation for key business updates including Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs)

Required Skills

  • 5-7 years of relevant professional experience with an emphasis on marketing strategy and operations

  • Experience of Salesforce CRM and/or Salesforce Analytics

  • Expert in Microsoft Office and Advanced Excel/PowerPoint and Google Suite technologies

  • Experience of Allocadia Plan to Performance tool an advantage

  • Strong analytical and financial acumen

  • Ability to think creatively, identify and solve problems through data analysis

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills - a track record of delivering business analytics to senior executives

  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills

  • Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and a self-starter
