What You Will Do :
This Strategy Director, Life Sciences role is a highly visible and challenging position that draws heavily upon all of the analytical, creative, and interpersonal skills essential to effective general strategy consulting. You will be involved with project oversight, solutioning and at times delivery of services. Additionally, you will identify business opportunities at this key account, that lead to sustainable growth. Directors also assume a significant role in Practice leadership and development. The ability to catalyze account growth while at the same time being a part of and leading a close knit team is critical.
Specific responsibilities include:
Demonstrates unique subject matter and strategy expertise within the pharmaceutical industry primarily to large and mid-sized pharmaceutical companies BUT enjoys building the relationships and penetrating an account to maximize value to the client and consulting firm.
Specific projects could include any combination of the following:
Therapeutic area strategy development
Product opportunity assessments
Commercial strategy
Business development search and evaluations
Due diligence
Market access strategy
New product launches, planning and positioning
Payer landscape assessments
Is accountable for growing and managing client relationships while managing client expectations
Becomes the client’s trusted advisor that contributes to the “key client” business development strategy
Develops business with new buyers within the key client, drawing upon industry and client connections as well as trends and Guidehouse solutions
Will oversee multiple projects simultaneously of all varying sizes and durations to ensure quality control and key client’s perceived value
Supervises, mentors and develops Guidehouse personnel
Participates in non-client related firm-building activities
Identifies and evaluates issues of risk for both Guidehouse and for Guidehouse’s relationship with client
What You Will Need :
A minimum of 10 years of experience in industry or life sciences with 3 years in management consulting
8 + yrs. pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical marketing or market research experience
8+ yrs. hands on strategy experience in pharmaceutical commercialization and lifecycle strategies
8+ yrs. market/financial analysis of Life Sciences business needs applying skills by delivering financial strategy, budgets, and ability to develop quantitative models for forecasting populations/sales
Proven track record generating revenues with existing clients demonstrating a passion for developing high value client relationships and executing on a account penetration strategy that results in account growth directly or indirectly ($2 million sales annually)
Managed projects to timeline, scope and budget on multiple teams simultaneously
Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree from accredited university; Master’s degree in Business Administration preferred
What Would Be Nice To Have :
The annual salary range for this position is $165,800.00-$364,700.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
