Honeywell Lead Building Technologies Software Architect in Atlanta, Georgia

Are you excited about design, development, integration and deployment of scalable technology and Internet of Things (IoT) rich solutions? We are seeking candidates for an opportunity as Lead Solution Architect for Honeywell Connected Buildings team within Honeywell Connected Enterprise (HCE).

We are looking for a Lead Solution Architect for our Honeywell Connected Buildings team group. You will bring a wealth of knowledge and understanding of Energy, Sustainability technologies, building systems (building automation system, HVAC system, lighting system, etc.), Fault Detection and Diagnostics and operational efficiency. You will lead the solution architecture design for Honeywell’s next-gen Energy and Sustainability solutions. You will interface with partners to integrate capabilities into the solution architecture. You will work with platform architects and agile development teams to define requirements and guide development. You will work with key customer projects to define and shape application deployment and flawless project execution. Last, you will work with field engineers to guide best practices, standardization and repeatability for new solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as Energy and Sustainability and Building Automation system domain expert for Honeywell Connected Buildings group

  • Work with technology, product management, sales and customer to define requirements for next-gen Energy and Sustainability technologies

  • Work with Platform System Architects and Agile Development Teams to guide development of platform capabilities as well as applications

  • Work with current and potential partners and design interfaces for technology integration

  • Work with customer project teams to define application features and functions with scalable capabilities

  • Engage with Customer and Sales team in doing early opportunity evaluation, developing solution architecture and deployment

  • Work with project engineering and customer delivery teams to manage risk and ensure effective design and delivery

You Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s/master’s degree

  • 5+ years of experience in development and deployment of large-scale projects / services with hardware and software components

  • 3+ years of experience as System/Solution/Software Architect with proven ability to envision and realize solutions that leverage multiple technologies

  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages: Java, C++, SQL & C#

  • Proficiency in cross-platform frameworks like .NET Core, NodeJS

  • Proficiency in database technologies

  • Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes or Openshift and related container platform ecosystems

  • Proficiency in any one of Cloud technologies: Azure, AWS, Google Cloud

  • Experience creating systems that allow management and optimization of multiple buildings

  • Proficiency in Networking, Protocols: TCP/IP, IP addresses, HTTP, DNS

  • Good understanding of security concepts

  • Good working knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery Processes
