How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)

TheIT Business Consultant, Global Shared Servicesis part of the Global Technology Delivery team and plays a vital role in executing strategic programs that are part of a comprehensive transformation that is currently underway. The manager will focus on internal business development, integration and the execution of key programs that support Delta’s Global Capability Center (GCC) in Bangalore known as the Delta Technology Hub (DTH). The incumbent will lead business case development and integration of new teams and capabilities into the DTH in addition to serving an internal consultant / program leader for key programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Incubating new capabilities and teams

  • Work with various divisions and business units to articulate the value of leveraging the DTH as a platform to support technology, technology adjacent and business value added functions.

  • Demand planning: Conduct analysis on what functions or teams could benefit from incremental talent or capabilities in the DTH.

  • Work with external research and strategic partners to understand the market and talent ecosystem for tech adjacent and value added business services (ex: Data / Analytics, Finance / Supply Chain, etc.)

  • Develop and present compelling business cases to divisions and business units.

  • Work with BUs and talent acquisition on organizational design.

  • Provide regular status updates about the state of different initiatives.

  • Support the seeding of new functions in the DTH by serving as a Program Manager / Integration Leader

  • Assist in overcoming barriers to adopting the DTH as a platform for talent.

Integration

  • Support integrating new teams into existing ways of working ensuring that there is frequent bi-directional communication and travel.

  • Partner with the DTH talent acquisition and operations teams to ensure stakeholder satisfaction and a strong employee experience.

  • Partner with participating divisions and BU’s to promote collaboration, drive innovation and support their business objectives - Guide divisions and business units with best practices on managing global teams.

  • Ensure that new employees feel connected to the broader Delta ecosystem.

  • Compile periodic updates to stakeholders.

  • Continuously improve total business value and strategic alignment of new teams / functions at the DTH.

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

  • Demonstrated ability collaborating with C-suite/senior management and driving business priorities.

  • Strong financial/business analytical skills and confidence in communicating to key partners.

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience with an advisory / consulting or large global company.

  • Prior experience with Captive Center’s, Shared Services or Global Capability Centers (GCC's).

  • Experience with business case development, strategic planning and program management.

  • Hands-on experience managing large & complex engagements.

  • Strong leadership presence, interpersonal and negotiation skills.

  • Excellent written and presentation skills.

  • Where permitted by applicable law, must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine by date of hire to be considered for U.S.-based job, if not currently employed by Delta Air Lines, Inc.

  • MBA preferred.
