Customer Success Group
CSG Digital Success Experience (DSE) team is a Global team who works in concert with our cross-functional partners across Salesforce to provide ALL our customers with a seamless personalized success experience built to deliver results, reduce time to value, help customers maximize their Salesforce investment and secure the renewal. We drive innovation as ONE CSG by listening to our customers, leveraging data-driven insights and building best in class success programs. The Marketing Technology and Architecture team within DSE develops, designs and builds technology solutions that enable data-driven customer interactions that optimize customer experience and impact customer adoption and loyalty.
The Solution Architect plays a key role by understanding business requirements and translating them into technical solutions. The Solution Architect must understand the existing platform and architecture to ensure compatibility and scalability of new solutions, components and technology. The role includes designing and documenting solutions to integrate into external data-sources (eg. Data Warehouse), leverage automation, dynamic content and data segmentation.
In addition, the Architect is responsible for collaborating with other members of the team and stakeholders for functional testing and delivering the highest quality solutions.
Key Accountabilities (Impact)
Trusted advisor to business stakeholders, ensuring that strategy and execution are aligned
Lead consultative engagements with business stakeholders on business goals and challenges
Translate business requirements into a solution design documents for multi-stage, multi-channel adoption initiatives
Work collaboratively and have very strong communication skills, especially in teaching complex concepts, and creative, prescriptive thinking.
Document comprehensive business user stories and requirements.
Collaborate with other members of the team to provide best practice recommendations
Understand business success metrics, reporting requirements to ensure alignment with business priorities
Work on multiple work streams with associated team members
Provide detailed, accurate and timely updates on current activities to all stakeholders including executive leadership
Participate actively in daily standup, agile grooming, and other standard meetings
Design standard components for reference in code library for repeatable use
Thorough understanding of SDLC methodologies including requirements, design, implementation, testing and maintenance
Four year college degree (Business, Computer Information Systems, or similar degree preferred) or equivalent experience with demonstrated proficiency
Experience with developing SQL with a RDBMS such as MySQL, Oracle, or MS SQL Server
Proven experience of SOAP APIs, REST APIs and integration techniques
Proficiency in object oriented programming languages such as .NET or JAVA, Ruby, C#, C++, Python
Experience building stored procedures, reports, data extracts, SSIS packages and integrations is preferred
Experience in the interactive marketing industry preferred
Must have experience with the Salesforce Platform as well as experience with marketing automation platforms preferably Marketing Cloud (Exacttarget) but experience with Eloqua, Marketo, Responsys, or Pardot will be considered
Ability to work with team members or individually with minimal oversight
Ability to lead and effectively manage technical discussions
Strong consulting/communication skills
Familiarity with the scrum methodology for software development is a plus
Strong analytical skills including data manipulation via Excel, SQL, etc
Proven track record of managing complex projects
The ability to quickly learn new concepts and technologies and convert them into business solutions
Experience of working in Agile/Scrum team environments
Ability to work and prioritize in an ambiguous environment. We have many simultaneous projects, teams, interrupts and priorities. The ability to understand our key drivers and use those to help prioritize your efforts is critical
Ability to work effectively within a team, through task delegation, solutions design, and technical development, in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines with minimal oversight
Ability to understand business goals and translate technical and non-technical information to and from business teams
MBA or MS in related fields
5+ years of applicable experience as client partner, consultant or account director role at digital agency, marketing services organization or consultancy. B2C experience preferred.
Knowledge of email compliant HTML and email marketing platforms or experience with XML, JSON, JQuery, PHP, ASP, and Object Oriented Programming is a plus
