The CO+I Supply Chain Quality team is seeking an energetic and innovative Electrical Supplier Quality Engineer with a passion for problem solving, process improvements, helping others, technology, and manufacturing operations. You would join a team that works to ensure the delivery of high-quality, compliant equipment through active collaboration with suppliers at their factory and quality engineers across regions.

This role is located either in one or all hub locations - Atlanta, GA, Washington, D.C., Redmond, WA, San Antonio, TX or Phoenix, AZ.

Relocation support will be provided, and successful candidates will need to relocate or reside within 50 miles of the hub office location.

This role is eligible for hybrid or remote work, up to (50)%.

Responsibilities

The Electrical Supplier Quality Engineer

  • Drives electrical equipment supplier quality improvement initiatives, supports supplier selection for the region and conducts supplier audits.

  • Leads part qualification processes through implementation of product quality plans, equipment inspections, factory witness testing, and manufacturing process qualifications.

  • Assesses equipment quality and manufacturing processes to ensure suppliers meet Microsoft capabilities and requirements, addresses non-conformances, mitigates escaping defects that may impact sites, and develops critical supplier engagement strategies to proactively address gaps.

  • Performs root cause analysis of equipment failures.

  • Provides technical support and guidance for improving equipment reliability.

  • Partners with supply chain, engineering, construction, and vendors to identify equipment quality performance gaps, testing protocols, and implement corrective actions at suppliers.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of technical engineering experience

  • OR Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field AND 5+ years of technical engineering experience

  • OR Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field AND 3+ years of technical engineering experience

  • 5+ years of electrical equipment experience

  • 5+ years of experience in Supplier quality, industrial electrical equipment and/or data center equipment

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check : This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain/Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or related field AND 1+ year(s) internship experience in supply planning, operations, supply chain, indirect supply planning, technology-related supply chain, sourcing and manufacturing, or related experience

  • OR Master's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or related field.

  • OR equivalent experience

  • Lean 6 Sigma Greenbelt

  • ASQ Certification.

Electrical Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.
