Emory's School of Medicine: Emergency Medicine department is looking for a Project Manager for Southern Regional Disaster Response System (SRDRS) Telemedicine. Under the direction of the Principal Investigator, Initiative Directors, and Program Director, the Project Manager for the Southern Regional Disaster Response System will provide project management and operational support for key telemedicine initiatives within the Region 4 Regional Disaster Health Response System (RDHRS). This work includes supporting the development and completion of project initiatives set forth by SRDRS leadership. Responsibilities will include project management, support of SRDRS response operations and structures, stakeholder and/or collaborating partner engagement and management, meeting management and facilitation, process and workflow definition, and data analysis and reporting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • As part of the management team, the Project Manager collaborates with senior divisional leadership to manage and execute special projects and to provide business support related to external relations, budget and finance, human resources, and operations.

  • Attends meetings with divisional executive leadership, develops and manages work plans, and ensures or facilitates appropriate follow up.

  • Drafts key communications such as articles, presentations, reports, and policies.

  • Researches strategic intent of, develops agendas for, and prepares materials or presentations for meetings.

  • Conducts complex projects requiring comprehensive research and data analysis.

  • Collaborates with others to facilitate projects and ensure timelines and action plans are accomplished.

  • Provides leadership to project team members and ensures integration of relevant business processes.

  • Prepares and assists in budget analyses.

  • Participates in long-range financial planning, trending, and budgeting.

  • Ensures the integrity and accuracy of financial information and reporting.

  • Analyzes data and reports, identifies and summarizes trends, develops executive summaries.

  • Represents divisional executive leadership at meetings.

  • Performs related responsibilities as required.

ADDITIONAL JOB DETAILS:

Project Management

  • Manages multiple aspects of Telemedicine within the SRDRS program and assumes leadership responsibility for all assigned projects simultaneously, including:

  • Setting goals for project activities

  • Creating/managing project plans

  • Anticipating potential project delays and implementing appropriate mitigation strategies

  • Escalating identified delays and/or challenges with specific projects as necessary to Program Director and Principal Investigator to ensure steps towards remediation are taken

  • Coordinates a diverse group of stakeholders and collaborating partners to set goals for specific project activities and designs, implements and oversees processes to ensure key tasks are completed in an appropriate and timely manner.

  • Supports continued development and expansion of Emory’s SRDRS Telemedicine operational capacity.

  • Attends all relevant SRDRS meetings; contributes ideas and monitors the planning process as required.

  • Participates in drafting of required quarterly and annual reports.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A bachelor's degree in business administration or other related field.

  • Five years of experience with an emphasis on project management and finance/budget analysis.

  • Expertise in use of office technology, including the MicroSoft Suite (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint,) Internet, and e-mail.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Strong leadership skills, interpersonal skills, consensus building skills

  • Maturity and operational problem solving/decision making experience

NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs. Schedule is based on agreed upon guidelines of department. This role requires residency in the state of GA. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
