Description This role is responsible for directly leading the N. America Sourcing Team, and indirectly leading supplier selection and sourcing / commodity strategies for common materials used across other GCPAT regions (EMEA, Central America, and AsiaPac), with the goal of ensuring purchased material meets all quality requirements, is purchased at the lowest cost, and is available to meet demand requirements while balancing service and inventory objectives. This role drives value across all raw material and toller (Contract Mfg.) commodities with a global spend of $400M-$450M across 1300+ suppliers and N. America Spend of $250M-$300M across 350+ suppliers. Main Activities*: * * This role has primary accountability for ensuring assigned Sourcing objectives are achieved, including: Supplier on time delivery, material cost productivity, D.P.O’s, and corporate sustainability goals, and are within the policies and procedures of the corporation. * Develop and manage the organization structure, talent, and skills required to achieve assigned goals on a sustainable basis. * Understand current market trends and industry dynamics around material cost, availability, and technology/innovation improvements and benchmark external companies related to performance in these areas. Develop strategies to ensure GCP remains competitive in the marketplace. * Ensure projects and improvement plans are in place, and monitor progress of execution on a regular basis, to deliver on all assigned objectives. * This role leads the Annual Operation Plan, Budget process, and subsequent monthly material cost estimates, with support from the other regional procurement leaders. * Continue to define and refine established process, policies, guidelines including sourcing category management, spend analytics, material projection/forecast, strategy development, e-sourcing, risk, and supplier management and proactively contribute towards the continuous improvement of overall operation. Organization: This position reports to the N. America Senior Supply Chain Director. The N. America Strategic Sourcing teams reports directly to this position and the other Regional Strategic Sourcing leaders report indirectly to this position. _ Main Job Duties: 1. Lead the procurement strategies for all key raw materials and contracted (tolled) Finished Goods. Accountable for $450-500M of global spend across raw materials, contracted finished goods and distributed products with focus on North American region 2. Lead the Annual Operation Plan, Budget process, and subsequent monthly material cost estimates, with support from the other regional procurement leaders. 3. Responsible for delivering assigned material goals including: Cost, Quality, Availability / Service, etc.. 4. Collaborate with Engineering to identify and execute on Value Engineering / Value Analysis projects. 5. Develop, Maintain, and Execute a project deck sufficient of meeting assigned goals. 6. Guides the team through supplier selection and management, contract negotiation while driving supply chain optimization and risk mitigation for the assigned supply base. 7. Develop and communicate the overall Sourcing and Supply Chain vision, strategies, and objectives considering market trends, business requirements, and new technology solutions. 8. Develop, build, and manage the organization structure, talent, and skills required to achieve assigned goals on a sustainable basis and develop team members to achieve their career objectives. 9. Establish and maintain employee performance standards. Works with employees to set goals and define development needs. Provide ongoing, timely feedback and periodic formal performance evaluations, per company guidelines 10. Report the measurable status of progress against objectives and corrective actions if goals are not on track to be achieved. 11. Understand current market trends and industry dynamics around material cost, availability, and technology/innovation improvements and benchmark external companies related to performance in these areas. Develop strategies to ensure GCP remains competitive in the marketplace. 12. Implement and utilize technology, where appropriate, to improve process efficiency and effectiveness. 13. Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with our supply base maintaining the highest degree of business ethics and professionalism. 14. Strategically develop and implement commodity/supply chain strategies covering all commodities, services and supplier processes throughout a global enterprise to deliver maximum value, leverage, and standardization. 15. Develop a comprehensive vendor base, leveraging both global and local capabilities, that creates and sustains a competitive advantage in terms of cost, supply, service, and working capital. 1. Ensure compliance to all applicable government customs, duties, and tariff regulations and other requirements. 2. Perform other similar and related duties as required. Profile:_Education: Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree preferred, in a Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Science, or related discipline. Experience: Minimum of 10 years in progressive Sourcing or Supply Chain roles in an industrial manufacturing / processing environment is required. Minimum 5 years of direct supervision experience is required. Minimum 3 years leading the Sourcing activities at a Corporate or Divisional level across a mid-size to large, complex business is required. Experience in a multi-site, global environment is preferred. Experience in a capital intensive, continuous processing industry is preferred. Certifications: ISM (A.P.P. C.P.M) or APICS (CPIM, CIRM) certification is preferred Skills/Knowledge/Abilities: * Understanding of current material market trends (cost and availability) across multiple commodities. * Ability to travel on a global basis, up to 35% of the time, and effectively work with teams from other countries and cultures.
