Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Design Quality Control Manager to join our team! In this role you will get to serve in a lead role and perform quality activities on complex Design-Build/P3 projects to ensure that design services provided are in accordance with customer and Parsons quality requirements.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Develop and implement design quality management processes and supervise personnel involved in quality assurance activities

  • Monitor and track non-compliance issues and implement corrective action plans

  • Conduct internal audits to assess compliance with quality standards

  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate quality records throughout the project lifecycle

  • Provide Quality Systems support using the ISO 9001 Standard as the basis for process development and optimization, procedure development, data collection and reporting and Quality Systems training. Interfacing at senior and executive levels regarding ISO 9000 process improvement and reengineering

  • Performs and adequately documents Internal Quality Audits of assigned office, projects, and jobsites, and manages all related follow-up activities. Audits conducted to assure compliance with Parsons standards, contract requirements, and applicable codes, specifications and drawings, including but not limited to: Design, Engineering, Estimating, Procurement, Project Controls, Vendor/Subcontractor Management, Receiving, Handling & Storage, Construction

  • Effectively documents, follows-up and closes corrective actions - both internal and external. Analyzes findings/ issues/ non-conformances identified during audits to determine program quality and identify performance trends. Analysis includes all available oversight results, both internal and external, and trending data

  • Performs quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements, including vendor quality manuals and company quality records

  • Promotes safety awareness including adhering to safety rules and requirements. Participates, as needed, in safety field audits and assessments

  • Verifies that Parsons and customers’ quality requirements are in compliance with quality standards and quality program requirements for products and services provided

  • Collaborates in development and maintenance of Quality Policy, Processes, Procedures, and related documents. Reviews Quality Manuals, documents, and implementation procedures to verify compliance with industry codes and standards, regulations and regulatory commitments

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business or Quality discipline or related field (or equivalent work experience) and typically 8+ years of experience as a lead designer or Engineer of Record in transportation projects

  • Experience as a quality manager for at least one transportation project with bridge and roadway construction valued at least $50M

  • Experience in at least one design-build project

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license registration is required with the ability to secure GA PE within 3 months

  • Ability to work full-time at the project site office (co-location required) in metro Atlanta, near the I-285/SR 400 interchange

  • Requires leadership ability and thorough knowledge of Quality Management practices, processes and current technology

  • Requires experience with quality management systems and standards, specified by ISO 9000, ASME, ANSI, ASTM and similar organizations

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work with other departments in a tactful and effective manner

  • Computer proficiency with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, including Word, Excel, Power Point, Access and Visio. Project Planning skills are essential

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to lead team members with day to day activities as well as special projects to assure timely completion
