Role Description:

Are you a motivated, enthusiastic writer seeking to deliver best-in-class content with our team of talented product and design professionals? As a Content Writer, you’ll contribute to the content performance and reach of Apartments.com and guide renters and landlords through the rental journey.

As a valued member of the Product team, you’ll be part of a dynamic, motivated team that strives to produce the best content in our industry. Together, you and our SEO team will drive the overall quality of content for user experience, make a substantial impact to the Apartments.com business, and improve the way the rental industry works.

This role is based in our Atlanta, GA office working a hybrid schedule of 4 days in office with 1 day remote.

Responsibilities:

  • You’ll collaborate with our SEO team, product managers and UX researchers to produce content that guides renters and landlords through the renter journey. You’ll collaborate with product managers and UX researchers to take insights and translate them into effective content solutions.

  • You’ll engage in content creation to address key informational needs of our customers. You will work with other teams to ensure a consistent tone of voice is delivered across content experiences.

  • You’ll manage concurrent content projects at a range of stages, from concept through to production and then iterate.

  • You’ll produce content briefs, drafts and content pieces including blog posts, research, and landing pages.

  • You’ll present work to other team members and stakeholders to recruit feedback, iterate and improve, and then publish content and launch changes.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Creative Writing, English, Marketing, or related field form an accredited, not-for-profit University or College.

  • A track record of commitment to prior employers.

  • 2+ years of experience in an individual contributor role on a content team

  • Experience following the Associated Press Stylebook (AP Stylebook) and the Chicago Manual of Style guidelines.

  • Strong editing skills with experience in collaborative editing, pair writing, or similar content editing and quality processes.

  • Experience conducting research including first party interviews to develop content.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Evidence of strong academic performance in college.

  • Demonstrated excellent grammar, spelling, and proofreading skills

  • Experience conducting user research and testing throughout the product lifecycle

  • Experience with MS Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint

  • Strong verbal and written skills communicating ideas, concepts, and designs

  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other front-end web programing languages

  • Familiarity with W3C/WCAG and ADA web accessibility standards
