Please review the following job description:

Develop and execute on high-impact initiatives and strategies with Consumer Payment strategic partners, including card networks. As part of the role, you will work closely with Product to support the development of new capabilities for Truist clients and drive partnership strategy. This includes developing partner requirements, leading relationships with partners to execute on these requirements, and negotiating and managing critical projects with Consumer Payment partners to support our growing business. Further, this role will own end-to-end responsibility for internal partner risk management process and ongoing diligence.

The role will require close coordination internally with cross-functional teams outside of Product including Technology, Legal, Finance, and Risk and externally with key partner stakeholders. This is a highly visible role to Payments leadership with significant influence on partner strategy and ongoing management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Manage Strategic Partners and Optimize Relationships: Monitor product, teammate, and client experience to recognize opportunities to improve and enhance Consumer Payment products, capabilities, and processes with our partners. Serve as the subject matter expert to product owners and other stakeholders on partner capabilities and act as a liaison between internal stakeholders and partners. Incorporate industry knowledge and best practices to recommend enhancements and design streamlined processes that target maximum efficiencies. Build effective and manage overall relationships with strategic partners.

  2. Develop Partner Roadmap and execute enhancements - Develop innovative strategies that reflect a rapidly-changing technology and payments landscape. Drive client-centric solutions that will enable growth, enhance client and teammate, and resolve issues. Develop, document, and recommend product and capability enhancements provided by partners to create a multi-year roadmap of future growth. Work within established partner and internal project management processes to open and manage new projects / processes

  3. Develop and commercialize new solutions - Utilize client journey mapping, market, benchmarking and analytics insight to identify and drive desired holistic experience(s). Leverage, influence and lead key third-party efforts to create the ideal user experience all within specified guidelines and deadlines. Develop revenue enhancements and cost reduction initiatives and formulate plans to capture those opportunities. Evaluate each concept for feasibility and impact to the business and our clients. Prioritize and develop ideas into product/initiative concepts. Execute roadmap of most impactful cross product client centered initiatives to implementation, partner with Finance, Risk, Marketing, Technology, Operations, Legal and Compliance to launch the solution(s).

  4. Integration – Lead the oversight of platform and process changes across the product lifecycle and shared ecosystems to ensure alignment across organizations with the overall product strategy and roadmap. Coordinate and manage business and functional requirements and drive operational and channel readiness. Utilize knowledge of various bank platforms (Client Central, Archer, Complaints Database, Online Banking, Digital Commerce, etc.) to represent end to end product system dependencies.

  5. Execution - Implement programs to optimize business processes and operating models. Lead complex end-to-end transformational initiatives to enable and enhance capabilities and processes that translate to successful client experience and profitable growth for the line of business. Collaborate with key stakeholders to create strategic plans that provide clear objectives, scope, and timelines.

  6. Build and cultivate relationships within Broader team - engage, partner, and collaborate across a highly matrixed set of internal cross functional partners, stakeholders, card based business partners that are often within a different reporting line of business, as well as applicable third party partners. Consult with Senior Leadership and Executive Management in design, pricing and implementation of solutions.

  7. Ensure effective regulatory, legal, compliance, change, and quality management - represent the Product Team on organizational projects as assigned. Maintain a strong knowledge of applicable laws and regulations. Ensure cross product credit card policies, guidelines, and procedures are driven through implementation and continual evaluation as our business and client strategy evolves.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business or related field, or equivalent education or related training

  2. 10+ years of program, operational, or product leadership experience in banking, credit card, lending, or payments

  3. Proven experience managing product portfolios (Banking, Credit Card and/or Debit Card)

  4. Strong leadership and relationship skills with proven ability to effectively lead cross-functional projects through advanced project management, priority setting, execution and communication, presentation ability

  5. Experience with card processing, card networks, and/or electronic payment systems as well as related infrastructure and emerging technology

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Master's degree or equivalent education and related training

  2. Experience in process management design and/or associated certifications

  3. Completion of an advanced banking school program
