How you will create an impact

The Claim Intake Analyst is an entry level position in the Claim Intake Department that is responsible for setting up new claim files. The Claim Intake Analyst is responsible for reviewing the first notice of a loss (FNOL) documents, indexing the documents for prior/duplicate claims, forwarding documents to the assigned adjusters, handling phone call claim inquiries to the department, and accurately entering into the claims computer system the corresponding policy, the date of the loss, accident location/state and a brief description of the loss to generate a new claim number.

  • Monitor the various FNOL in-boxes for new submissions and address within 24 hours of receipt.

  • Review all notices and attached documents, index to determine prior/duplicate notice, forward the notices/documents to the assigned technician/adjuster.

  • Review the policy information contained within the FNOL to identify the proper division and type of loss.

  • Use OneClaim system for creation of a file, ensure accuracy with the required data fields to generate a new claim file.

  • Responsibilities also include escalating new case creates that are time sensitive such as settlement demands or imminent trial dates, and those incidents that may have media attention, etc.

What you will need to succeed

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

  • Willing and able to learn new information and/or processes

  • Knowledge of using computers and using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, MS Teams

  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • Detail-oriented

  • Being flexible and able to multitask

  • Self-motivation to succeed, learn and grow

  • Able to work with a team, as well as on your own with minimal supervision
