Business Development Executive Harris Local Government - Remote Harris Local Government has an exciting new role and is seeking a Business Development Executive to join our team to drive strategic sales activities. As a Business Development Executive, you will be responsible for the development, pursuit and closure of opportunities across our local government customer base. An intimate understanding of market trends and our customer base will be instrumental in the strategic expansion of our solutions offerings and market growth. The Business Development Executive will be expected to develop this understanding to drive all aspects of the business development process, including development of new business leads, strategic industry partners, territory planning and marketing campaigns. A comprehensive understanding of local government workflows and practices is extremely important, coupled with competent knowledge of enterprise solution technology ranging from conceptual to practical. The ideal candidate is an inquisitive, self-starter who is interested in finding the best solution to fit the needs of our customers. What your impact will be: Identify sales and market opportunities to promote, sell, and expand HLG Countys full line of business. Work in partnership on the development of strategic sales and marketing efforts and lead the execution of the plan Work collaboratively/effectively with team members to grow business in the territory. Pursue professional development to ensure current market knowledge and to develop professional skills / relationships in additional to interacting with key professional organizations and associations. Develop and execute strong business practices. Correspond and communicate with prospective clients as required to close business. What we are looking for: Self-motivated who exhibits sense of urgency in all business development related activities Exceptional communication, presentation, follow-up, negotiation, and closing skills. Proven experience in territory growth and new market development. Proven success with all aspects of the sales cycle with success in lead generation. Proven success in understanding various technologies and concepts utilized by local governments. Background in working with and selling solutions to local government.
