Budget AnalystJob LocationsUS-GA-AtlantaJob ID 2020-1938 Clearance Level Public TrustOverviewAveshka is seeking Budget Analyst to support CDC's Center for Preparedness and Response (CPR) or other CDC Centers, Institutes, or Offices engaged in public health preparedness and response functions. CDC CPR provides strategic direction, leadership and agency-wide coordination enabling CDC and its stakeholders to prepare for and respond to public health threats using an all hazards approach.. A critical function of the CPR is its ability to convene key CDC stakeholders and provide the operational infrastructure needed during a public health emergency. In most cases, telework will be authorized.ResponsibilitiesPerform regular IRIS B&PI data entry, updates, and reconciliation of assigned program budgets based on actual transaction data received via UFMSCollect leadership decisions regarding any spend plan changes, revise Spend Plan in IRIS, and initiate Request for Budget Corrections (RBC) and ceiling allocationsAssign funding sources if new budget activities are received from OFR and created new source budget in IRISAlign Spend Plan to CAN structure; if new CANs are required, submit CAN request to OFR/OBSPerform regular IRIS B&PI data entry, updates, and reconciliation of assigned program budgets based on actual transaction data received via UFMSConduct any reviews or analyses of budget activities below the division level (e.g., branches, distinct programs/projects)Revise Spend Plans in IRIS, where directed by division leadershipDetermine the percentage variance of funds received vs. Spend PlanConduct any reviews or analyses of budget activities below the division level (e.g., branches, distinct programs/projects) and create Status of Funds reports below the division level (if applicable) Examples are: Branch level Ad Hoc reportsCreate Status of Funds reports below the division levelSchedule and participate in meetings, review and discuss with Divisions at frequent intervals beginning November.Serve as a quality control point to ensure all Program actions and decisions meet requirements and are accurate prior to submission to OFR/OBS(quality review of all funding documents prior to submission for funds certification by OBS)Serve as budget liaisons for assigned Division and subject matter experts on their programs' strategy and resource planningAssist, as necessary, in the budget execution data calls for internal and external customersLink Identified Contract and Grants in IRIS BAAP/A&A for the upcoming FY after entered by Extramural POC for DivisionCoordinate with OBS on Error Correction Requests (ECRs)(Examples: MACCS, Travel, Payroll, incorrect posting to financial systems)Conduct data extracts from financial support systems (ICE, A&A, and IRIS) for historical, actual-to-date, and projected costs for the current fiscal yearQualificationsRequired Education:Bachelor DegreeRequired Experience:3+ YearsRequired Clearance:Public TrustDesired Qualifications:Prior budget analyst experience with CDCAbout Aveshka:Aveshka is a professional services firm focused on addressing our nation's most complex threats and challenges.
