Appian Solution Architect
Abt Associates seeks a qualified Appian solution architect to support our Digital and Data Services (DDS) division. This role will be responsible for the development of products and solutions for federal and state and local customers.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Produce technical Appian architecture, develop system requirements, identify resources, and estimate timelines for project completion
Lead software solution development by analyzing system performance standards and conferring with stakeholders and users
Analyze user requirements to derive technical software design and performance requirements
Lead, build, test, and deliver intelligent automation solutions using industry leading vendor technologies, specifically Appian
Develop new concepts and methodologies to improve people, procedures, and information technology solutions
Assist in the scoping of prospective engagements, developing proposals, planning, logistics, and the execution of project management processes
Evaluate risks related to requirements management, business process definition, testing processes, internal controls, project communications, training, and organizational change management
Develop and execute test procedures for software components
Plan, track, manage deliverables on short term sprints, and long-term software deployments
Preferred Skills / Prerequisites
Appian Certified Associate Developer and/or Appian Certified Senior Developer
Experience working in an Agile Scrum development environment
Experience with deploying applications on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) and/or Google platforms
Bachelor-level degree in IT related field or equivalent professional experience
Experience designing, developing and supporting software solutions
Hands on experience with Java development tools, integration solutions including API's and XML and REST protocols
Proven experience effectively prioritizing workload to meet deadlines and work objectives
Excellent networking and facilitation skills and ability communicate complex concepts to a variety of audiences and expertise levels
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Able to think creatively and approach challenges in new or different ways. Able to translate business requirements into technical requirements.
Ability to obtain a U.S. Federal government security clearance within a reasonable period of time, which requires U.S. Citizenship
Bachelor’s Degree + Two years of relevant experience, or Master’s Degree
