Position Summary
Morehouse Healthcare AUCC - Student Health and Wellness is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider. The APP is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse ( APRN ) or Physician Assistant (PA) who will be responsible for providing patient care as part of the health care team at the Atlanta University Colleges Consortium’s Student Health and Wellness Center ( AUCC - SHWC ). The APP works collaboratively in accordance with state and federal laws and under the direction and supervision of department physician(s) and in accordance with established policies, procedures, organizational objectives, to provide patient care which includes but is not limited to medical examination, procedures, diagnosis, treatment, consultation, referral, and education.
The AUCC - SHWC is one of the Morehouse School of Medicine’s Healthcare Clinics, dedicated to supporting student’s physical and mental health and wellness while they are in school while preparing tomorrow’s leaders for future careers.
Minimum Qualifications
Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program or Physician Assistant program.
Currently licensed as an Advanced Practice Nurse in the state of Georgia by the Georgia Board of Nursing and certified as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center ( ANCC ) or equivalent body or Certified as a Physician’s Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants ( NCCPA ).
Licensure in the state of Georgia required.
Holds or is eligible for DEA licensure.
BLS , and Healthcare Provider certification
ACLS certification recommended.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in college health or working with adolescent/young adult populations.
Knowledge of adult immunization schedules.
ACLS certification recommended.

Immunization Requirements
It is MSM’s Immunization policy that all Prospective Employees are required to provide proof that they are vaccinated against COVID -19 prior to commencement of employment. If employment will commence during Flu Season, MSM requires all individuals to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless granted an exemption. Failure to provide proof of vaccination for any required vaccines or obtain an exemption from MSM will result in rescission of a candidate’s offer of employment or disciplinary action up to and including termination.
