Description
The primary purpose of the Adjunct Instructor for Workforce Courses at Trinity Valley Community College is to deliver high-quality instruction and training to students in workforce development programs. The instructor will provide expertise in their subject area, utilizing industry-relevant curriculum to prepare students for success in their chosen career fields. Responsibilities include teaching courses, assessing student performance, and supporting student learning outcomes, all while ensuring alignment with college and workforce standards to meet the needs of local industries and employers.

Job Duties
- Deliver course content following approved syllabi, ensuring that instruction meets established learning outcomes and workforce competencies.
- Maintain punctuality for all classes and communicate promptly with the division chairperson or provost in case of absences.
- Hold and publish office hours according to College District policy to assist students with academic support and advisement.
- Ensure class materials and records, including attendance, grades, and other key documentation, are maintained and available for substitute instructors if needed.
- Actively participate in student advisement, counseling, and registration processes.
- Submit timely student grade reports to the registrars office and maintain accurate records of student attendance.
- Engage in faculty meetings, commencements, and other college activities as required by administrative leadership.
- Communicate with administration about student, faculty, and institutional concerns affecting college welfare.
- Serve on college committees and participate in department and curriculum development, including the establishment and reporting of learning outcomes.
- Provide recommendations for library resources, textbooks, and instructional materials to enhance course delivery.
- Be adaptable to teaching assignments across any TVCC campus, extension sites, dual credit locations, or TDCJ, and be prepared to teach via various instructional methods (e.g., online, hybrid, face-to-face).
- Carry out additional duties as assigned by supervisory leadership, such as division chairperson, provost, or college president.
