LifePoint Health Nurse Assistant (Nights) Med/Surg in Athens, Tennessee

Starr Regional Medical Center is currently seeking talent to fill the position of Nurse Assistantfor our Medical & SurgicalDepartment. This job is permanent,full-time.
*Core competencies include, but are not limited to the following: *
- Performs basic patient care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN, including monitoring vital signs, possibly taking blood glucose measurements, and recording intake and output.
- Assists patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living, including but not limited to bathing, grooming, eating, and ambulation.
- Reports abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
- Assists with keeping patient rooms and common areas stocked, clean and orderly.

Minimum EducationHigh school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience: □ Preferred X Required
Required SkillsNursing student or completion of a licensed nursing assistant program:X Preferred □ Required Certifications:The below certifications will be required within 60 days of hire:X Basic Life Support (BLS)The below certifications will be required within 6 months of hire or when transferring into a new department with these certifications:□ Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) □ Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) □ Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) □ Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
