Starr RegionalMedical Centeriscurrently seeking talent to fill the position ofMedical TechnologistforourLaboratorydepartment.Thisjobis permanent,full-time.
Core competencies include, but are not limited to the following: * Performs common testing procedures and reports test results. * Performs instrument maintenance and troubleshooting. * Performs quality control testing. * Maintains supplies needed for performance of tests. * Labels,processesand delivers specimens for testing. * Collects blood specimens using age-appropriate techniques. * Assistswith receiving,identifying, accessioning,processingand transporting specimens. * Maintains work area in a safe,asepticand organized manner.

Minimum EducationBachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology, Chemistry or Biology and ASCP certification by a CLIA approved credentialing organization ORBS equivalency by passing a certification exam given by a CLIA approved credentialing organization MT(ASCP), CLS(NCA), MT(HEW), MT(AMT), MLS(AMT):□ Preferred, X Required
Required Licenses[Tennessee, United States] Clinical Laboratory Personnel Technologist MT (ASCP) certification OR equivalent MT/MLS (AMT) OR State of Tennessee Medical Technologist license OR Medical Technologist- General Supervisor:□ Preferred X Required
