Ohio University Postdoctoral Researcher, Department of Physics and Astronomy in Athens, Ohio

Job Description:

The department of Physics and Astronomy at Ohio University invites applications to a postdoctoral research position in observational and theoretical cosmology, working in the Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrument collaboration (https://www.desi.lbl.gov/) with Professor Hee-Jong Seo. The primary work will involve large-scale clustering analysis of DESI Year 3 and Year 5 data, including, but not limited to, the analysis of Baryon Acoustic Oscillations and density field reconstruction.

The successful applicant will also have an opportunity to become involved in the clustering cosmology using Nancy Grace Roman Galaxy Redshift Survey (https://roman-grs-pit.caltech.edu) with Professor Seo.

Minimum Qualifications:

The applicant must have a Ph.D. in astronomy, astrophysics, or physics, prior to the start date of the position.

Preferred Qualifications:

Solid experience with the cosmological clustering analysis (e.g., galaxy redshift survey).
