Job Description

The Digital Experiences Tower organization has responsibility for leading the M&A activity for the Mondelez Digital Services group (MDS). Mondelēz has identified M&A as a key growth strategy to achieve the 2030 vision. One of the ways we will achieve this goal is through an increase in activity in the mergers and acquisitions (M&A) space. The MDS function plays a pivotal role in the success of acquiring businesses successfully as well as divesting parts of our business where it aligns with our strategic direction.

We are looking for an IT Senior Manager with prior M&A experience to join the team. You will lead the Due Diligence process for assigned deals and ensure successful handover in support of the acquisition process + help evolve our current M&A processes and modernize the tools we leverage throughout the M&A process. You will work closely with the MDS M&A Director as well as the Corp Dev M&A deal team and leverage your in-depth IT knowledge to liaise with the standing IT organization to ensure timely delivery of the Due Diligence process and preparation for Sign to Close and post close activities. Same goes for divestitures.

As a member of the M&A MDS team, you will gain broad business knowledge of the Mondelēz ’s M&A global activities, as well as understand how the complexity of IT supports the successful post Close strategies (Integration, Standalone, Carve out, etc.).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acquisition Execution: In tandem with the M&A director and the Corporate Development team, assume a key role for MDS throughout the entire M&A deal process. This includes accountability for Due Diligence for assigned deals and collaboration with the MDS regional leader(s) on sign to close and post close activities.

  • Divestiture Execution: Manage the full life-cycle of MDS activities associated with Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) activity - from the initial evaluation of a potential divestiture, through execution of the project and closure.

  • Preparing and executing a comprehensive Due Diligence report for the proposed acquisition or merger for MDS which includes both IT (information technology) and GBS (global business services) scope.

  • Establishing effective stakeholder management with the Corp Dev M&A team, regional business teams, and extended MDS tower SMEs.

  • Prepare and maintain point-of-view, detailed project plans, track progress and manage scope and also ensure alignment to M&A deal objectives.

  • Proactively monitor key risks & issues and facilitate resolution.

What you need to know about this position:

In this position you will:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to M&A director, the corporate development team, and the broader MDS teams.

  • Assess the targets technology environment and suitability to integrate with MDLZ via M&A due diligence.

  • Articulate the quality and performance of the Target company’s IT environment, including security.

  • Analyze IT costs; including cost synergies that may arise from the merger.

  • Determine which business synergies are enabled by MDS and provide a solution to ensure those synergies are realized.

  • Identifiesall M&A risks and develops mitigation plans.

  • Support theMDS Regional leaders to ensure proper diligence outputs allowing them to execute post-merger integration projects.

  • Partner with the M&A director, tower leads, and 3rd parties to confirm technical decisions and directions align to Mondelēz Architecture strategy and Security expectations.

Must have a robust understanding and knowledge of the following:

  • Has working knowledge and experience within M&A (acquisitions and divestitures), IT, and project management.

  • Has led medium & large programsto appreciate the complexity of merging a separate business into Mondelēz systems.

  • Project management experience, planning, budget management, and reporting.

  • Strong Excel and PPT skills.

  • You'll need the confidence to speak up with your own creative thoughts on a wide range of areas.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation.

  • Creative problem-solving skills that you leverage to find innovative solutions to tough problems and challenges.

  • Curiosity and energy to continually learn new technologies and stay apprised of technologies, security and regulatory changes.

  • Excellent written, verbal communication skills and stakeholder management skills.

  • The ability to influence business leaders in technology-driven business processes and business model transformation.

  • Profile: Positive mind set with the ability to deal with ambiguous situations. Self-starter who works well under pressureand is results-driven and goal-oriented.

Experience / Education

  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, and/or Business Administration
