Description:
The Development Coordinator supports the development efforts of The St. Mary’s Foundation through effective management of the donor database, meticulous event planning, and thoughtful stewardship practices. Position works on special projects to advance the department’s efforts in identifying new donors and cultivating and stewarding existing donor base.
The Development Coordinator may be asked to represent the Development Department at community events, during and outside of regular business hours including weekends, and is the liaison to assigned internal and external stakeholders.
The Development Coordinator provides centralized team support for the development department, maintains accurate donor and patient records, and provides consultative services to patients receiving ambulatory and inpatient services.
The Development Coordinator must be able to work independently with only general guidance. Works collaboratively with providers. Serves as liaison to services and resources within the hospital and the community.
II. POSITION REQUIREMENTS :
A: Licensure/Certification/Registration: None
B. Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher learning required
C: Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience in development position preferred.
Experience in the Raiser’s Edge database or equivalent system required.
Special Qualifications:
Passionate belief in the principles of donor-centered fundraising and stewardship. Understanding of Council for Advancement Services in Education management and reporting standards for educational fundraising. Experience with successfully creating and/or modifying structure, systems, and processes. Must have strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail. Must have strong communication skills and be able to work under tight deadlines on a flexible schedule. Strong customer service skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and projects at one time required .
