Description:

Implements the Mission and Values of St. Mary’s Healthcare System and Highland Hills Village by striving to meet the spiritual and emotional needs of residents, families and staff. As a member of an interdisciplinary team the chaplain assumes overall responsibly for the coordination of spiritual services; provides spiritual counseling and emotional support to residents/families and staff of all denominations; participates in the residents/family plan of care. Other duties as assigned.

Part-Time Chaplain with Benefits

Schedule: Three, 6 hour weekdays (day shift) in addition to 2 Sundays a month

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

Certified Chaplain or eligible for certification within a year of hire in National Association of Catholic Chaplains or Association of Professional Chaplains.

Education:

Master’s Degree with a major emphasis in Religion or Theology or Divinity required. Four units of Clinical Pastoral Education from an accredited Clinical Pastoral Education program required. Professional knowledge of ethical/ moral matters as well.

Experience:

Experience in ministry to the sick, and older adult population; counseling skills. Three years' experience in pastoral ministry preferred.

Special Qualifications:

Part-Time. Day shift. Rotating Sundays. Endorsement by denomination or faith group.
