Confidential Employer QC Utility Clerk in Aston, Pennsylvania

The purpose of the Quality Utility Clerk is to both ensure the growth and profitability of the company by facilitating the flow of both shipping and receiving materials, analyzing and monitoring inventory, conducting inventory counts to enter into database, and other methods, and to assist with inspection verification of any completed product to specifications.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Maintaining accurate raw material and finished goods inventory counts
  • Prepare, analyze, and issue Certifications of Compliance, Inspection Check Sheets, Bills of Lading, Pickup Notices, and other administrative records as required
  • Track inventory data using Microsoft Excel or other programs and report back to production supervisor, and office manager
  • Responsible for loading and unloading shipments
  • Responsible for locating and staging material for specific jobs under the direction of the supervisor  
  • Receive incoming mail from USPS, UPS, and Fedex as well as distribute to appropriate team members as needed
  • Self-driven, results-oriented, and motivated to work effectively without direct supervision
  • Flexible to adapt to changing requirements and priorities
  • Responsible for following safety rules and practices
  • Responsible for daily clean-up of area and equipment
  • Occasionally will be requested to work overtime
  • Complete other duties assigned by Manager
  • Knows the QMS requirements as they relate to them
  • Complies with the organization's policies and procedures
  • Complies with regulatory and statutory requirements
  • Knowing and explaining the QMS Policy and how they impact carrying out the requirements of the policy in the job that they do
  • Maintaining a professional atmosphere
  • Performing their essential job functions as defined and upholding the integrity of the organization
  • Stopping processes if they find requirements are not being met
  • Identifying Corrective Action needs
  • Initiating Continual Improvements in the QMS

  • Required Qualifications and Education Requirements:
  • High school diploma/GED
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, push, pull, walk, and stand for long periods
  • Basic Attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Basic Mathematical and analytical skills
  • Able to work well in a team environment
  • Verbal and written ommunication skills
  • Must be able to consistently demonstrate self-motivation and the ability to think independently
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Strong sense of time organization and urgency

Preferred Skills

  • Ability to use Forklift, charts, and pallet jacks
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, and Excel
  • Experience with ISO 9001 / AS 9100 requirements

Working Conditions

  • The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. Frequently required to use personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to hazardous materials.
  • May be requested to work overtime and weekends as needed.
  • Safety Glasses, Durable pants, and Steel Toe Shoes/Boots are always required to be worn while in the plant.  Hearing protection, safety gloves, high visibility vests, and other PPE to be provided on an as needed basis.
  • No loose clothing is permitted on the shop floor.
  • Work involves considerable stooping, bending, walking and standing.
  • The ability to talk, listen, and speak clearly
  • The ability to lift and/or carry equipment/objects greater than 50lbs.
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FLSA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting quantitative and/or qualitative productivity standards.
