For our Nordic Medical team, we are looking for a Nordic Medical Advisor who will be responsible for Takeda’s Rare Genetics and Hematology portfolio across all four Nordic countries. You will do this in a close collaboration with the local medical teams in each country. The initially focus will be on a medically driven launch within the therapy area of hematology.
For this role you can be based in Sweden, Norway, Finland, or Denmark, and we are working in a hybrid model across the Nordics with a requirement to be at the local Takeda office twice a week.
ROLE OBJECTIVE
Be the scientific expert in relevant therapeutic area(s) and provide medical expertise and support for the therapeutic areas and products of responsibility to external and internal stakeholders, main focus externally.
Drive the development and execution of the Nordic medical strategy plan and activities in close collaboration with cross-functional Nordic core team
Foster cross-functional collaborative relationships internally as well as externally with key stakeholders
Build strategic partnerships
Be Advocate for patient needs
Proactively drive Nordic collaboration and demonstrating a one Nordic mindset
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Medical/Scientific Affairs
Develop and implement Nordic Medical strategy plan and activities in alignment with brand plans and Business plans.
Present clinical evidence to external and internal stakeholders in a non-promotional way, e.g. KOLs and reimbursement bodies, while determining their and patient needs in order to become a partner in improving health care.
Provide medical input for development of promotion material and ensure scientific accuracy and validity of non-promotional and promotional material compliant with Takeda standards, SOPs and national laws
Communicate with Regional and Global Medical Affairs functions, as well as with LOC functions to ensure alignment in meeting stakeholder needs
Establish and maintain strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), understand their needs in order to personalize medical strategy and be a valued partner, build partnerships
Drive the development and implementation of key medical activities, e.g. Advisory boards, medical education and peer-to-peer training activities
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Ensure alignment of medical activities with brand plan and strategic imperatives
Data generation
Drive evidence gap analysis in alignment with Clinical Research Organization on a European as well as Global level to identify studies to address the issues
Collaborate with Global Clinical Research Organization to contribute to study conduct, data analysis and disclosure, reporting/publication and be point of contact to investigators
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, and COMPETENCIES
Education
University degree or equivalent experience in life science is required, master’s degree, Doctoral or Post-Doctoral diploma in life science is highly desirable.
5+ years of previous experience from medical organizations or pharma companies in roles such as Medical Advisor, Medical Officer, or Medical Manager desired.
Experience from working in a Nordic setting is desired.
Demonstrate in-depth therapeutic competency and expertise of the leading science in designated disease state; maintain knowledge base and scientific expertise on all assigned disease areas and products
Deep understanding of the Nordic health care environment and health care providers and organizations
Fluent written & spoken English as well as Proficiency in local language Danish, Norwegian, Swedish, or Finnish
