We have an exciting Onsite opportunity for an Ethics & Compliance Officer, Operations at our Asheville, NC site!

What You Will Do:

As an Ethics & Compliance Officer (ECO), the successful candidate will be responsible for leading the ethics & compliance program for the Operations organization at the Asheville, NC site. Reporting to the Lead Sr. ECO, Operations (Deputy Global ECO), the candidate must be comfortable working in a team environment and collaborating seamlessly with colleagues and internal clients to deliver practical and compliant business solutions on complicated ethics and compliance issues.

Incumbent’s responsibilities will generally focus on the following:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of strategic initiatives to mitigate and reduce compliance risk at the Asheville, NC site and other Operations sites as needed

  • Be a regular, visible, approachable presence at the Asheville, NC site with responsibility to visit other Operations sites as needed for E&C support (including training, investigations, and other types of support)

  • Lead or support Operations investigations and/or improvement activities (including opportunities to enhance the investigative process and traveling to other P&W Operations sites as needed)

  • Work with Human Resources, other ECOs, investigators, Local ECOs or other Subject Matter Experts on matter investigations as necessary

  • Under the guidance of/with the support of the lead Sr. ECO, Operations and Site HR leadership, manage investigation processes to ensure timely and effective completion and closure of investigations and implementation of appropriate corrective actions and fair, consistent evaluations, including disciplinary measures (working with Human Resources, Legal Counsel, Site Management and other stakeholders)

  • Support efforts to ensure proper reporting of violations to duly authorized enforcement agencies as appropriate

  • Continually enhance and improve P&Ws’ Ethics and “Speak Up” culture

  • Adhere to and maintain a heightened awareness of the RTX Code of Conduct, always acting with integrity

  • Evaluate and provide guidance to employees related to compliance with policies and procedures including but not limited to the following: Outside Employment evaluations, Conflict of Interest questions, Annual Certification variant response reviews, Business Gift & Sponsorship requests

  • Coordinate and lead Operations Compliance briefings for the Asheville, NC site

  • Support the P&W Global Ethics & Compliance Officer, Deputy ECOs and RTX Compliance in the performance of other tasks as assigned

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of ethics, compliance, investigations, quality or related business experience; OR an Advanced degree and 5+ years of ethics, compliance, investigations, quality or related business experience

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen - this position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Current or former P&W experience is preferred

  • P&W Quality or technical experience is preferred

  • General knowledge of P&W Operations

  • Approachable and discreet

  • Objective, fair and sound judgment

  • Honest, direct and straightforward in communications

  • Positioned to make independent judgments with strong decision-making skills

  • Ability to influence actions, decisions and to drive change

  • Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with associates at all levels throughout the organization

  • Must have excellent communication skills (written, verbal and presentation)

  • Command of the English language

  • Computer skills – Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, O365

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
