Pyramid Healthcare Certified Alcohol Drug Counselor in Asheville, North Carolina

October Road has recently opened an Opioid Treatment Center and we're looking for a Certified Alochol and Drug Counselor to join the team!

Our perfect candidate is capable of role modeling to the clients. They will be able to maintain strong clinical program and work together with staff to effectively meet the needs of our clients. It's imperative that they are able to cultivate positive relationships with referral sources and families. They will have a working knowledge of how to maintain compliance with licensing regulations. Of course our ideal candidate is someone with strong clinical skills in substance use and mental health treatment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in daily functions of program: assessment, utilization review, PCP, CCP, NCTopps and clinical services

  • Provides individual and group therapy

  • Attends all staff and agency meetings

  • Maintains caseload in compliance with state, federal, and agency standards

  • Chart audits

  • All administrative and charting duties are completed in a timely manner

  • Assists clients in all areas of treatment

  • Maintains safe, orderly, and therapeutic environment for clients including crisis intervention.

  • Complete required training's and mandatory training hours.

  • Initiates and develops client treatment planning goals through contact with clients, family, colleagues, and other staff.

  • Evaluates behavioral and emotional needs of clients and family members.

  • Manages client files by having all appropriate documents.

  • Responsible for intake process with new clients into program.

  • Receives phone calls from support staff as necessary regarding client behavioral and emotional needs.

  • A working knowledge of HIPAA, DDAP, RTFA and CARF regulations

  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Must meet one of the following:

1) A Master’s Degree from an accredited college with a major in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, nursing (with a clinical specialty in the human services field) or other related field.

2) A Bachelor’s Degree with the same educational requirements and 1 year of clinical experience.

3) An Associate’s Degree with the same educational requirements and 2 years of clinical experience.

4) Must be registered with the substance use board as either CADC, or CADC-I
