Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Machine Operator with at least 3 years of experience. This role requires a skilled individual who can perform changeovers, troubleshoot issues, make minor repairs, and clear jams efficiently. The ideal candidate should come from any manufacturing sector, including plastics, metal, or textiles, and be capable of lifting up to 35 lbs when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Operate machines with proficiency and precision.

• Perform changeovers regularly as the production shifts from one battery type to another.

• Troubleshoot and resolve machine issues promptly.

• Make minor repairs to equipment as needed.

• Clear jams and ensure smooth operation of machinery.

Essential Skills

• At least 3 years of experience in machine operation.

• Proficiency in performing changeovers and minor repairs.

• Ability to troubleshoot and clear jams.

• Experience operating various machines such as extrusion, packaging, and filling machines.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in production environments including plastics, metal, and textiles.

• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs when handling trays of batteries.

• Understanding of blueprints and molds is advantageous.

Work Environment

The work environment is dustier due to the mixing rooms. The position requires working 12-hour night shifts (7 pm – 7 am) on a 2-2-3 schedule.

This is a Contract position based out of Asheboro, North Carolina.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00
