Location:                         Ashburn, VA with travel between Ashburn and Springfield, VA offices

Job Description:

SimIS Inc seeks a Configuration Change Management Analyst I to support DHS CBP’s configuration and change management (CCM) process for maintaining the integrity of hardware, software, firmware, and documentation required to successfully transition and manage the Unattended Ground Systems (UGS) Program across five Border Sectors. The CCM Analyst provides configuration management (CM) to transition these UGS systems to the CBP Firewall infrastructure support FISMA Authority to Operate (ATO) activities. The work will be performed onsite primarily at Ashburn, VA with travel between Ashburn offices and Springfield, VA offices.

Experience Required:

  • Two (2) years of full-time professional experience in change and configuration management of large-scale computer systems.

  • Reviews released engineering change data documentation to ensure adherence to configuration management procedures and policies.

  • Querying and analyzing databases to process and analyze large amounts of data, identifying relevant patterns and trends in the data.

  • Generating reports to communicate findings to other leaders and project managers.

  • Using programming tools and data models to help visualize and monitor data.

  • Developing and implementing change management plans to ensure the successful adoption of new systems, processes, and technologies.

  • Assess the impact of change on the organization.

  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of change management initiatives.

    Special Skills/Knowledge/Training Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical field, such as statistics, business administration, or computer science is preferred.

  • Change Management Practitioner (CMP) Certification desired.

  • Current Public Trust Clearance.
