​​Koniag Technology Solutions, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Quality Control Technician to support KTS and our government customer in Artesia, NM. This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a Public Trust. This position is for a Future New Business Opportunity.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • A minimum of two (2) years as QC/Lead Technician experience utilizing formal QC systems/processes in industry and/or business related to functions to be performed under the requirement to support facility operations of government training facility (i.e., Firearms, Vehicle Maintenance, Scheduling, Transportation, Inventory, etc.).

  • Shall possess skill and ability to inspect and monitor facility operations and services for compliance of applicable codes, laws, regulations and directives, including safety and environmental, relating to functions such as Firearms, Vehicle Maintenance, Scheduling, Inventory, Transportation, etc.

  • Identify deficiencies, inadequate and/or unacceptable work, and take necessary action to resolve or recommend to the Contracting Officer the necessary action to resolve the issue or corrective action to be taken.

  • Shall maintain a presence at the site at all times during progress of the work as recommended by the CO.

  • Shall be willing and able to perform as Safety Officer and/or Environmental Coordinator as required.

  • Ensure full compliance of contract’s Quality Control Plan.

  • Assist Project Manager (PM) to ensure compliance of all other contract plans, including but not limited to, Service Plans, Disaster Preparedness, Key Control, Property Control, Environmental Protection, Safety, etc.

  • Support Project Manager as required with Quality Control over management of all aspects of support services for a federal government training facility, including but not limited to Firearms, Vehicle Maintenance, Transportation, etc.

  • Develop client relationships and ensure successful execution of all QC contract requirements

  • Support Quality Control functions as required to coordinate site activities, including training events, facility usage, and student recreation support

  • Provide updates and reports to management and clients

  • Shall be responsible to prepare and submit monthly QC reports per contract requirements

  • Provide excellent customer service

  • Coordinate with PM to support all QC contract requirements

  • Other tasks as assigned by the PM and/or executive management team

To be successful in this role, the employee will need to be able to:

  • Read, write, speak and understand English language

  • Physically able to perform assigned work and shall be free of communicable disease(s)

  • Work on tight deadlines

  • Be competent in using applications such as Word / Excel / Power Point

  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance

Working Environment & Conditions

This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.

The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
