Production Mechanic

Aerotek is seeking an experienced manufacturing and production maintenance technician for our pharmaceutical client in Arnprior! The ideal candidate is an independent worker, with at least a year's experience maintaining and repairing production machines.

Job Description

• Repair production equipment that is down or malfunctioning. Call in third-party support if needed.

• Perform preventative maintenance when all lines are running smoothly.

• Diagnose malfunctions and determine the need for adjustments or repairs.

• Follow written set-up and maintenance schedules for machines and equipment.

• Perform size-changes on packaging lines for various product formats.

• Collaborate with outside contractors and other trades personnel.

• Make recommendations and implement continuous improvements to equipment and processes.

Skills & Requirements

• 1 year minimum previous machine operating experience

• Previous machine set-up experience

• Mechanical troubleshooting experience

• 6 months on-site mechanical repair/preventative maintenance on automated machines

• Post-secondary diploma in mechanically inclined program (robotics, automation, millwright apprentice)

• Reliable transportation as it is located in Arnprior.

• Openness to work different shifts.

Job Details

• The facility is very clean with provided smocks and many sterile areas. The environment is not dirty but the role does involve dealing with chemicals and grease.

• Production lines are all automated with an open concept, except for clean rooms.

• There are some confined areas that need to be accessed to service machines.

• The campus is large with a huge kitchen on site and a gym upstairs for use during breaks. The area is walkable.

• Location: Arnprior.

• Schedule: Weekends, weekday morning shift, weekday afternoon shift.

• Pay: $32/hour
