Service Source Truck Driver - Heavy in Arnold, Missouri

Job Summary

Drives delivery vehicles (vans, box truck, and 26' straight truck) to transport supplies, materials, personnel and/or industrial yards. Achieve customer satisfaction by delivering services in a professional, courteous, and timely manner for the Base Operations Support (BOS) NGA National Campus West (NCW) contract in St. Louis and Arnold, MO.

Primary Duties

  • Load and unload vehicle using care not to damage materials. Secures materials, which could shift causing damage.

  • Delivers to proper location and obtain signatures when required.

  • Maintain logbooks documenting all pick-ups and deliveries and accurately complete mileage and time logs.

  • Report any problems or discrepancies to supervisor.

  • Perform regular vehicle checks including but not limited to engine oil, battery fluid, tires, transmission fluid, coolant levels, etc. as per transportation guidelines

    Additional Responsibilities

  • Perform emergency roadside repairs such as changing tires, installing light bulbs, fuses, etc.

  • Maintain vehicle logs and inspection reports as required.

  • Maintain high level of cleanliness on all OCI vehicles.

  • Ensure that all lockboxes, vehicles, gates, and facility doors are secured daily. Unless arrangements are made with other appropriate staff and or management. Confirm any alternate arrangements with supervisor prior to leaving.

  • Responsible for maintaining incoming customer parts and supplies within Inventory Management System.

  • Sort and place product on racks, shelves and aisles according to predetermined locations using trainee/employee resources in a timely manner according to established protocols.

  • Assist in delivering supplies to the Work Center as requested by GM or designee. Maintain accurate records (pick slips etc.) of all supplies delivered to work center.

  • Perform routine Cycle Counts to ensure accuracy.

  • Conduct on-the-job training for any trainees/employees as assigned by GM or designee. Provide thorough instruction and guidance to trainees/employees ensuring skills are taught according to the procedure.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

    Qualifications: Education, Experience, and Certification(s)

  • High school diploma or state certified equivalent required.

  • Minimum 1-year experience in related field.

  • Valid driver’s license and/or access to reliable transportations to perform work-related travel required. Eligible drivers must have a good motor vehicle record (MVR).

  • Ability to obtain and maintain Class B CDL required.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI government security clearance with polygraph is required.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Must be courteous, well-groomed, and cooperative.

  • Must have clear understanding of traffic rules and regulations.

  • Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
